I am wanting to buy a new TV for my man cave for the house I am building. It will be mainly used for playing video games and watching sports to get away from the wife and kid. I am wanting something with no lag for playing games online. I prefer a LED with the best and brightest picture I can get but at the same time I want something that is a good deal. I am looking anywhere from a 46" to a 52" but prefer picture to size when it comes to cost. Any recommendations?

Buy a big ass tv but get the store brand. That's the way I am. I'll buy a 60' tv but I'm not paying over 700 bucks for it. That's just dumb

buy name brand. you may pay more but you get quality.
Go LED. Picture quality as far as the darkest and deepest blacks is on par with plasma these days, and doesn't use as much power and your screen will last longer.
Go 1080.

Recently purchased a 47" Panasonic LED, 120 hz, 1080p from Amazon for $800 and have been very happy. Apparently is has some smart stuff, Panasonic calls it VIerra or something like that, but i've never tried to use it so can't comment on that. Had a 37" Panasonic LCD in the bedroom for a couple years and have been happy with it so stuck with the same brand.

Samsung and Sony are top dogs. LG, Panasonic and some Philips are good. Stay the hell away from Vizio. Cheap things.
