They have one of the best defenses in the country and can't possibly be worse on offense next year. And their schedule will be much easier. IMO MSU's biggest issue for next year is the OL. Maxwell is solid, but needs time to throw. The OL didn't give him very much of that this year. And a good OL will make life easier for whoever steps in to replace Bell at RB (my guess is he's gone).

I thought about them as well, but they just baffle me too much to count on them. Arizona St should definitely get better. IMO, there was no reason USC was as bad as they were this year and I am concerned that there may be a bigger problem there.
With the limitations, I really have to take a look at their depth concerns for next year and see where the holes are at and how much that will hurt. People in the SEC don't give the PAC12 their credit, but that is a tough league and a team with a weakness can be exposed by a number of teams.
USC's starters are on par with Oregon and Stanford, no doubt, but when you get to the bulk of the schedule, your conference teams know your weaknesses and an injury or 2 when you are already short on numbers can lead to 5 loss seasons.
