Tee Sheppard leaves ND

  • Out of curiousity, where does this drop them in the '12 recruiting rankings? They were 12th with 1 5-star and 8 4-stars, now they're down a 96 4-star.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Did you really have to bring THAT play up again......gun

Believe me...at my age, I've experienced more than my fair share of heartache and disapointment at the hands of the Domers to fill two lifetimes.

*Oh, I added the video for greater understanding of that play. biggrin

Wouldn't adding Carlisle even it out????shrug

  • Carlisle is coming in as a Soph.

But he makes you 2011 class higher. fingergun

He's a great kid and a decent back but he's not a game changer. He'll probably take a year to get acclimated to ND's system so he's really a future player for you.

I'd gladly take Sheppard in a straight across trade but the 75 limit makes that difficult.

    Looks like another perfect day.

No it wasn't. Deal with it, Kiffin is a good guy to his players, that's why they love him.

Pat Haden is overjoyed with Lane and what he's done for this program through these sanctions. THAT is coming out of Heritage Hall by people who actually KNOW what's going on. If Lane had not been fully on board with the transfer, it wouldn't have happened.

Wasn't knocking Kiffin at all..I am sure Pat suggested to him that it looks good to let kid go be with his family...

Look, it was Lane who went to Pat give him his thoughts why USC should let Amir go...and Pat AGREED with Lane to release Amir to Notre Dame.

Man up and accept the fact that Lane is a much better guy than anyone gives him credit for...come on, releasing a player of great need...to your greatest rival? It was always about Amir, not USC and the programs needs, and not Notre Dame, for damn sure.

How does this leave your CB situation going into this year?

    Dreadful. Putrid. Horrendous.

Bennet Jackson, converted WR still learning the poistion
Lo Wood, has some experience but not a lock down corner
Jalen Brown, RS freshman who probably has the most upside after covering Floyd all last year
Josh Atkinson, RS freshman who is still very raw.

    ..and that is it

Kyle never considered Notre Dame when he signed his LOI with USC, it was pretty much USC, Stanford and Notre Dame during Amir's recrutment - ending between SC and the Domers.

Apples and oranges, with Amir the exception because ND was always in the running, and because of his family situation and how close they are.

Really, are you bringing up the normal transfer proceedure to an exception to allow a kid his second choice because of close proximity to his family? Really?

Safety isn't looking much better with Harrison Smith gone. Guess this means Davonte Neal(should he ever actually show up in South Bend) will be asked to play some D. Two all-american CB commits and neither sticks, I bet Kelly wasn't planning on that. Luckily for ND they have some extremely talented young pass rushers(although FSU's freshman-laden OL shut them down in the bowl game).

You have to be kidding...or purposely obtuse.
