Tell me about the B12...

  • Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that keeps your nerves and red blood cells healthy. It is responsible for the smooth functioning of several critical body processes.

It is possible for the body to develop a vitamin B12 deficiency. This deficiency is usually reported with symptoms of fatigue.

Strict vegetarians, heavy drinkers and smokers, pregnant and breast-feeding women, and the elderly usually require vitamin B12 supplements. Sometimes our body, mainly our digestive system, is not able to absorb this vitamin well. This can happen when a person has pernicious anemia, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, bacteria growth in the small intestine, or a parasite. People suffering from these conditions may need vitamin B12 supplements as well.

A deficiency in vitamin B12 can result in a host of illnesses like anemia, fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, depression, poor memory, soreness of the mouth, asthma, vision problems, and a low sperm count. However, vitamin B12 deficiency is rare as the liver stores enough reserves to last a couple of years.

The top 5 health benefits of vitamin B 12 are:

    * It is needed to convert carbohydrates into glucose in the body, thus leading to energy production and a decrease in fatigue and lethargy in the body.

    * It helps in healthy regulation of the nervous system, reducing depression, stress, and brain shrinkage.

    * It helps maintain a healthy digestive system. Vitamin B12 also protects against heart disease by curbing and improving unhealthy cholesterol levels, protecting against stroke, and high blood pressure.

    * It is essential for healthy skin, hair, and nails. It helps in cell reproduction and constant renewal of the skin.

    * Vitamin B 12 helps protect against cancers including breast, colon, lung, and prostrate cancer.

Make sure that your body is getting enough vitamin B12 by incorporating these foods in your diet: liver, meat, eggs, milk, cheese and some varieties of fish.

  • well first off- it blows. but most of the trash has left (mizzou and CU). And besides that Texas pretends they are better than everyone else and the ISU, KSUs, and KUs of the world bend over for them for whatever they want. If you dont like being Texas' bitch, find another conference. Other than that most of the campus' are fun on game days and the fans are pretty cool.

Haha. Seriously though. I don't know what school you are a fan of.

    But here goes.

    OU? They suck.

A&M? They are gone now, but you can still watch them for amusement.

Okie State is actually a great place to visit, unless you are a sooner fan.

Baylor is pretty lame. But they have a great coach in Art Briles. Building a new stadium. Improving in a lot of areas.

Looking forward to TCU's stadium renovations. Patterson is a good coach.

Tech is tame now. Used to be an insane place to visit when the Pirate was coaching there. No Leach in the Big XII makes me sad.

KU is pedestrian. Its all about basketball there.

Iowa State is actually up and coming so to speak. They have a great coach and are upgrading their facilities. Don't take them lightly. Texas and Okie Lite have recently and paid dearly for it.

K-State is a royal pain in the ass, but Snyder is an excellent coach.

Did I mention that ou sucks?

I'm very interested in visiting Morgantown. Looks like a cool place to see a game. Their coach is a mad genius and a bit rapey. He used to coordinate the offense at Okie Lite. They are also not to be taken lightly.

So really, Tech and KU seem like they suck, but the rest of the conference (football-wise) is improving. Should be a competitive league.

Texas is Texas. (Just said that to piss off the resident derpa derpa ag here. Hi, Status!)

It's the t-shirts you have to look out for. Thankfully they haven't been that bad lately due to the longhorn football woes.

It's gonna happen; otherwise, no more nat'l titles for the Irish once the play-off is implimented. Complicating things further, there may be no vacancy in the B1G Inn, too.
