I will eat total crow if he comes out and balls when he has some weapons. But the better quarterbacks are efficient with mediocre talent at WR.
He had a fantastic record last year, and managed the game well, but I don't recall a game where he took control of the game, and willed the Gators to victory (regardless of his players to throw to). That was Gillislee all year.

I think Richt and Bobo's track record with QBs speaks for itself. Tennessee's problem is right now they are being out recruited by all three of the those schools right now. Until UT starts beating UGA, UF, etc for recruits they will stay at 4th in the East.

Efficient you say ? brah, he went 11-2 against a mean schedule as a sophomore and barely ever turned it over outside of the UGA game
only had 5 picks on the year and a solid/respectable 63% completion percentage
I don't know why, but I like his hillbilly ass... seems like a cool kid and I have no problem cheering for him despite the obvious reasons why I should hate him

There's a lot more to this story that will never get released. There was some sort of discussion over the last month when recruiting responsibilities were being delegated, and he got himself in a bad place by not backing off what he wanted in terms of title and money. This was in the works prior to the announcement, and our mods reported that he had decided to come back, then woke up the next day and decided against it.
Look, FSU got a great RB coach. He is one of the better coaches at that position, and we took a bit of a downgrade with the new coach. Congrats to them.
But, if you think this had any effect of great magnitude on Jalen Hurd, you are kidding yourself. He is the exact same situation as Vonn Bell. If we win a good amount of games and show progress, he'll come home to Knoxville. We put out a crappy product on the field, and fail to compete with the Big 3 (Florida, Georgia, Alabama), or at least one of the big 3, he will go elsewhere. OSU probably has a lead atm because of the relationship the coach up there has. In state pressure, with marked improvement in the team, would beat that in the end.

It amazes me how much flack Driskel still gets
The kid is damn good.... he just had no WR's last year, he did go 11-2 with a meaningless bowl game loss in his first year as the main QB, he also beat out a very talented kid named Jacoby Brissett for those that forgot already
I liked what I saw from Driskel last year despite his boneriffic passing yardage total, which again... was a direct result from throwing to some total boners at WR

I also think Driskel can be a real good QB for the Gators. He struggled against Georgia, but a lot of that wasn't his fault. He had some TOs but didn't exactl have a lot of time, that game was also one of Floridas worst rushing games of the year.
Winner in Jax goes to ATL. I'm not discounting Carolina, I just think Georgia as Florida are more complete teams

I hope like hell he fails everywhere he goes after that garbage him and Dooley put on the field last year... How the freak do you have Bray, Patterson, Hunter, and one of the best o lines in the country and go 5-7??? Tennessee had 5 guys invited to the combine... and go 5-7???? It's not all about the talent gap... It's terrible freakish coaching that has happened the last few years..

Tennessee fans what do you think about this?
