    Damn... really?... it doesn't matter. It totally depends on the kid... footwork, reach, athleticism, heart is what it takes to play tackle... nothing else matters.

    The kid even admits in interviews his biggest concern is weight. His dad died at just over 40 years old I believe from weight issues and as a 16 year old he has to stay diligent or he gets to 400 in a few weeks.

    I can't say I'm surprised such a widely held belief has been argued to this extent but lets just say NFL scouts will get less excited if he breaks that 6'10 barrier.

    Then you don't have a clue. There's never been a 6'10 NFL OT. I think there's been 7 who were 6'9.

    I can't find numbers but I bet there's been 40 that were 6'8, 100 that were 6'7, and 200 that were 6'6.

    Do you know how rare it is too be that tall? There are a lot more 6'4-6'6 OT's because there so many more people in that height range, each inch you increase the smaller sample of people you draw, doesn't really mean that being that tall severly affects their playing ability.

    I disagree, not a big deal. But the height of someone's CoG is a big deal at OT.

  • He probably isn't that athletic considering he doesn't play basketball or TE... so I doubt he is that good... But there are a few 6'9" OTs in the league.
