Lol, the Bosworth that played in Seattle that trash talked Walter Payton, then go trucked by him?

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.

He's very good. He's not average. You're hating on him now. He was helped out by his DL but most good LBers are. He was very productive and very good college LB. If he was an average LB in college he wouldn't sniff the NFL.

I don't agree. I have been lucky enough to see many "very good" LBs at PSU and this guy isn't in their league. He has a lot of holes in his game. He guesses every play, he has serious issues working his way through traffic, he is fat and slow, and he has a tendency to drop his head and bounce off tackles. There's no way in hell that I am paying him first or second day money. 5th round or later? Sure... that's a drop in the bucket. But not before that.

Only two I've heard about are Arrington and Posluszny. ''Linebacker U'' really hasn't had a nationally recognizable linebacker for a very long time it seems. Arrington was faster (clearly) than Te'o and a harder hitter. Not sure about instincts just yet. Have to see Te'o play. Posluszny probably had better instincts than Te'o. Right time right place kind of guy. Both dominant and can take over a game. Arrington although was great, his time was cut short in the league, so it's hard to talk about his entire body of work. Posluszny is still in the league and doing very well.
The question is will Te'o cut weight and develop speed? I mean that Alabama game spoke volumes to me. Those running backs were just as big as he was (and faster). Will Te'o last in the NFL? His instincts are great, he follows his assignments to a tee and is always in the right place at the right time.

But the fact remains...in the NCG he looked small and slow. Multiple times I watched the Bama RB's plow over him falling forward for a few extra yards. Te'o obviously can't get any taller. He needs to trim the fat and put on some serious muscle. Also needs to improve his speed if he wants to compete in the NFL.

Well, considering that PSU has the most linebackers in the NFL, it seems you have not been paying attention. Bowman and Hali (not mentioned by me because he played DE) are pro bowlers. Arrington and Poz were elite college LBs. Connor finished his Sr season with 145 tackles and won the Butkus. Lee had a 138 tackle season, but was playing along side Poz and Connor which took the spotlight of of himself. When healthy, he is far and away the best LB the Cowboys have, and a pro-bowl caliber player. Mauti has more leadership in his pinky than Te'o has as a whole and he would easily have had 120 tackles if not for another knee injury from a cheap shot. Hodges has a lot of Bowman in him, and is probably the most fluid LB in the draft this year.

Te'o is fat and slow. I don't know what you are talking about with instincts... it looks like he guesses early on a play and hopes for the best. And God forbid he actually tries to diagnose... he gets caught in the wash. Let's be honest, if he were at any other school, he would be a late round prospect at best.

All I was saying is that I've only heard of two of the players you mentioned. I'm sure those other guys were good and I'll take your word for it.

If ''guessing early'' isn't considered good instincts then what is? And he probably will be a late round pick as of right now.

It's only good instincts if he guesses right. shrug What I'm saying is that he ALWAYS guesses. The few times I've seen him try to actually diagnose a play, he got caught up in the wash and was buried.

So what you're saying is his 7 picks and over 100 tackles were all guesses? But when a Penn State LB does it he's a great player with great instincts...seems legit.

Well somehow teo got magically credited with 10 tackles in the bcs title game. I guess they counted every time he was the 6th person to jump on the pile as a tackle in that game for him. Who knows if the regular season stats were legit? The bcs stats certainly were not
