Te'o---The most decorated player in college football history

  • dpfenny said...

Yes Te'o is one of the top 2 LBs projected in draft because he is lucky. loco

The overvaluing of ND NFL prospects is an annual event. Just another ND tradition.

Not everything's an insult, man. I think Teo is a very good, even great player. I just think Mosley's better. Probably won't get to compare draft stocks since CJ is probably returning for his senior season.

He'll be good. Nothing special though. Average to slightly above average.

I would think that constantly being in the right place at the right time would make someone a playmaker. Lucky 7 times? no

Did I say he got lucky all 7 times? A playmaker makes big plays out of nothing, picking off a pass that was tipped into your hands does not make you a playmaker.

Te'o is a great player, just not on the same level of dominance of many defensive players in the past. Charles Woodson being one of them, and IMO Nick Fairley and Suh.

Teo is a better complete linebacker then Mosley, at least this year. Teo benefitted from a lot of hype and regional bias in the award ceremonies this year, but it doesn't mean he's not the best linebacker in the country.

    Valid opinion. We just disagree.

I think he will be a solid player, probably a pro bowler. But certainly not a HOF and consistent gamechanger on the next level IMO. He isn't Ray Lewis, or Brian Urlacher in their primes.

I think he will be a solid player and a very good guy to have in the locker room. I'll leave the rest of the shit alone.

No doubt, everyone here is just stating opinions and is just guessing at the end of the day.

I didn't think Luke Kuechly would be all that good, and so far he has been a monster. I've been wrong before, and I'll be wrong again many times.

I don't think you can validly compare the two. Teo is a middle LB where Mosley is an OLB. Teo plays the middle and is a good run stuffer. He has a nose for the ball and has found himself in situations to be the benefactor of some stupid QB decisions. Mosley is a better "space" backer. He is the best cover backer in the country and can make plays in space better than Teo.

LBs like Mosley are more valuable to the NFL right now bc of the offenses being implemented. Not saying Teo doesn't have his place there or that he will be a complete bust. I just see him having a solid tenure in the league but not many pro bowls.

Yes, every year the scouts over value ND player. roflmao Is that why in ND's worst run in decades they have as many players in the NFL as Bama?

I didn't say there weren't ND players in the league. I was talking about them being overvalued. As in draft stock was/is too high.

...and yet ND has more undrafted players on rosters than any other school in the top 15. Stanford is the only one with more in the top 20. I guess the NFL scouts undervalue intellect.

  • Again, not my point. I'm talking about Michael Floyd, Jimmy Clausen, Golden Tate, John Carlson, Brady Quinn, etc...

I can see this is obviously going over your heads so I'll give up.

  • Te'o is a fantastic player, but IMO he wasn't the best LB, much less the best player, in the country.

Jones from UGA, Mauti from PSU before his injury, and Barr from UCLA were all better IMO.

    Floyd: rookie
    Clausen: good clip board holder
    Tate: starting WR
    Carlson: decent TE before injury
    Quinn: a starter blank

Why didn't you think Kuechly would be all that good? Kid dominated as a FR and only got better. Had no doubt he would be a great player. I will say I'm a bit surprised by Harrison Smith's instant impact in Minnesota.

Monster for the us (the Bills). Perhaps most consistent player on our stacked DL.

    Cody - starts for Ravens
    Rolando - Bust. Immature idiot.
    Marcell - starts for Bills
    Hanks - not drafted
JPW - not drafted, backup QB
McElroy - hasn't got a shot. But late-round pick, backup QB
Ingram - hurt/unimpressive last year, but has looked good this season and is getting more touches.

I don't really get the point of this post.
