He demonstrated that sportsmanship when he went over to Matt Barkley before the game, aware of how disappointing it must have been for Matt to not play in such an important game.

The sports award shows, and the media, for much too long have focused on one conference, all they talked about was the conference as a whole. As if it was a singular, living entity, powerful only by it's shared might.
What do you know...a little private school in South Bend, led by genuine student/athlete/humanitarians is the focal point of the media..all the attention on ONE PROGRAM, and their singular accomplishments.
This is good for college football, the return of sportsmanship, and the way college sports were always meant to be.
That is real power.
