It seems like y'all are. Considering the Houston nutt rule was passed where a school can't sign more than 28 in a year but then they came up with the New rule last year i dunno what is goin on. I think y'all are gonna regret signing so many this year when the next few years y'all will hate small classes and will have to turn down really good talent because of the 85 rule. If you take away scholarships from some lower ranked recruits it could bite you in the but with gettin recruits from schools those players came from. But i won't knock y'all for taking whoever y'all ban get if you can get them.

The SEC changed the rule for every team. A&M is operating under the same rules as all the other SEC teams with regard to recruiting.
A team that did not sign a full class of 25 in a recruiting year is allowed to fill those unused spots in the following recruiting class with EEs. A team is only allowed to count back spots for the past year's recruiting class, not classes from 2, 3 or 4 years prior. Each team still only has 85 scholarships so no matter the size of a recruiting class only 85 spots are available.
Since A&M only signed 19 players last recruiting class they can enroll 6 kids early and count them towards the 2012 class and still have 25 spots available for the 2013 class. A&M has 76 players currently on scholarship, 16 of which are seniors. That means there needs to be some attrition and/or kids who don't qualify because 7 out of the 2013 class don't currently have scholarship spots available.

What exactly do you feel is incorrect? I believe both starting tackles are expected to leave for the draft so that will open up two more spots. Are there other juniors expected to leave early? With only 6 spots available for early enrolles to occupy from the 2012 class, there must be some 2013 recruits who aren't expected to qualify academically.
A few other SEC teams signed less than 25 kids in 2012 and have the option of taking more than 25 this cycle.
UGA has something like 34 they could take. LSU could take as many as 29. Florida only had 22 in their 2011 class so they should be able to take 28 this year.

how, exactly, can you take more than 6 ee? you have your 25 for 2013, and the 6 left over from 2012 when you took 19.
here's how i see this class right now:
32 total right now.
cross 2 off - kohl is going mlb (especially after jm's season) and griffin isn't making his grades.
25 for 2013
6 early entry - i see 2 cc and 1 prep, who are the hs kids graduating early and coming in?
that leaves you at 30 total, w/ one spot left.
the only way i can see being able to add more than 6 ee, is if some of the 2012 class were ee and backcounted to 2011, but i don't recall that and don't have the energy to go looking for it.

4 of there guys from last year were ee thus they count towards the 2011 class then 1 guy didn't make so that makes 13 signees last year. So that gives them 12 to count back this year. So that's 37. Then one or 2 may not make it to atm so they could get someone else and sign and place the other guys. Do your research before just posting how you feel that's how crap gets started between you and Aggie fans.
