So one bad season with an implosive meltdown and that's it? We should fire the coach that had was extremely successful at the time because his QB was a mental midget and was the catalyst for said meltdown? No, I think it'd be better to see if he'd fire the guy responsible for recruiting and coaching said QB (Greg Davis) and then see if he can right the ship. Which is what he's done so far.
Hell, I know there are tons of "IFs", but "IF" our top three running backs didn't all suffer injuries during the middle of the season, there's a damn good chance we would have had another ten win season right after the 5-7 debacle. I'm not sayin' (because it's a big "IF"), I'm just sayin'. We were VERY close to being right back on the ten win season track. And we'll be VERY close again next year with the potential for greater things to come the year after.

It's not a cupcake schedule. Texas doesn't play in the big east. OU, Ok St, West Virginia, K. State, and TCU have all been solid programs for the past 10 years. Baylor is getting a lot better, and Tech has their up years. I am not saying it is the SEC, but it is the closest thing to it in college football. To say it is a cupcake schedule is pure ignorance/bias.
