Texas will refuse to play A&M in the cotton bowl

  • roger huerta said...

big 12 teams don't have the option to refuse bowl invitations.

    but yeah, obsession noted.

Really? This I guess happened after Bill Snyder turned one down?

You are such a butthurt idiot. Couldn't get into a real school so you'll carry around that inferiority complex for life. Great! We love seeing downtrodden Aggys trying to make their way in life. As to your question, Texas would love to play A&M in the Cotton bowl. In the regular season, not a chance. You aren't worth our time. The odds of Texas getting a BCS berth are slim to none. Those long, impossible odds are better than yours. Gosh, it must suck to be you! At least you have College Station.

A&M is a better team than Texas right now.

Hmm, Texas has scheduled Notre Dame, USC, Cal, UCLA, BYU and Ohio State. That plus nine Big 12 games. Aggy wants to continue to play Texas because their world depends on us. I know. It is scary. Almost like having your own stalker.

Again A&M is a better team than Texas. Why would they care if they play you guys? They have played the last 6 BCS national champions this year.

Nine Big 12 games doesn't even come close to equaling five SEC games.

How much perspective can you have when every team drills your ass? A&M was a much better team than Texas last year. They still found a way to Aggy it up.

Why is he butthurt? His team is ranked in the top 10, plays in the SEC and isn't tied to the Longhorn12 anymore?

Yeah and none of those games will match the passion and emotion of Texas vs. Texas A&M- not even close. I just don't think it's good for college football when you end an in-state rivalry like that because the other school wants to go join a different league. Georgia didn't quit playing Georgia Tech when they left the SEC. Clemson didn't quit playing South Carolina when they left the ACC. Heck, LSU still played Tulane annually for some time after the Green Wave left the SEC. Florida plays Florida State. The Noles also played Miami annually when both were in different leagues.

To me there are just some things that should be above petty politics. That's one of them. Go play.

aggy ran away from big bad texas, and now they want to act like we're the pussies because we won't play them. petty politics indeed.

yea except A&M is better than all those teams this year and most likely for at least the next couple years , and no their world does not depend on you thats why they left your f-ed up conference. they got the hell out because they wouldn't take your crap anymore and now you guys are butt hurt that you dont have the power and influence like you once had. Basically A&M just showed you guys up and now your to pussy to play them and act all snooty about it.

DudeTexas is loaded with young talent. We have played more true freshman in the last two years than any teamin FBS.Texas is poised for two huge years in 13&14.We got a chance at a BCS bowl this year even with a bad D.Wont happen this year but this teamis loaded.

what bowl did snyder turn down? i'm looking at their history right now and all i can think of is 2009 when they were bowl eligible at 6-6 but didn't play in a bowl. honestly never heard this before, so i'm curious.

and as i understand it, the specific rule is that you can not turn down one bowl for another. if you want to turn down any bowl, you turn them all down - you don't get to pick and choose.

I can't see how it makes any sense claiming they ran away when they went to a superior league.

lol - you are such an $ec!$ec!$ec! homer!

    4-4 in the b12, 6-2 in the $ec!$ec!$ec! playing w/ a b12 offense. yeah, that $ec!$ec!$ec! is SO superior!

it wasn't a move to get to a better league, it was a move to get away from texas, and they cried about the lhn and talked shlt about texas the entire way out the door. why on earth would we play them outside of a bowl game?
