Thank you USC...

SC does a lot of charity work and when they saw that Oregon had only 7 or 8 - 4&5 Star recruits, which was like 4 or 5 fewer than USC had, they decided to donate a Prevot to you because they were embarrassed for you that even without recruiting restrictions Oregon still couldn't even reach a double digit amount of 4&5 star recruits.

Seeing how Oregon couldn't even make it halfway to USC's standard of 7 straight Pac Conf titles (like they claimed they were going to do - only got 3) figured you really needed the help.

At least you said thank you, your welcome

You can't diminish the quality of that win in 07'.

Booty blew. You and I both know every SC fan wanted Sanchez at the helm. And 2nd start or no, SC's D was off the charts. J Stew ran Rey da fuq over. Just concede this one game and we're cool.

Ya, I got you (game conceded). Didn't really mean to diminish the win, it was more about it
not being that bad of a loss for SC (if there is such a thing) considering that you guys were
#2 in the nation or soon to be #2, the game was in Eugene, it was Sanchez's 2nd career start,
and Oregon didn't clinch the 7 point win until an Int. as SC was driving in Oregon territory with
    about 20 seconds left.

I wouldn't say Booty blew, he was a pretty solid college QB. I think at that point (Booty being a 2nd year starter, about 8 games into his Senior season) USC would have had a much better chance to win that game with Booty at QB just because of the inexperience of Sanchez.

However, looking at the big picture I think USC probably would have been better off without signing Booty and just rolling with Sanchez as a redshirt Freshman in 2006. SC didn't win the title anyway in 06 or 07, and maybe they wouldn't have finished 11-2 in 2006 with a RS FR QB. But the upside to Sanchez and how much he improved from the beginning to the end of his 1 season as a starter in 2008, leads me to believe that maybe instead of SC losing 3 games over the 2 years (07 & 08), maybe they only lose 1 or none if Sanchez had been starting since 2006.

A 7-6 disorganized undisciplined USC team would have faired any different?

In the grand scheme it wasn't a bad loss for SC, it was just a pivotal, program changing win for the Quacks. SC had been raping the PAC for so long it was soul crushing. And it was (more or less) a straight up win, not a Stanford/Beaver style fluke.

Booty was pretty decent, no question. But the expectations for him were off the rails. And even with only limited glimpses of D Sanchez I remember it being fairly obvious to most that he was the next great SC QB - Booty was just keeping his seat warm.

  • Don't get me wrong, nobody was beating Bama in the BCSNCG last season, but you could have at least made the effort. As SC's most respected rival, you must admit there's an element of symbiosis here. ND's performance embarrassed SC by proxy. As for our miserable Sun Bowl performance, I'm looking ahead to what ought to be a much better season. Sanctions or not, we snagged 3 of the top 15 players in the country, and a few last minute decommits isn't going to dampen my enthusiasm for Trojan football. Fight On!

My point is, you're not under sanctions, you've no excuse. Unless you count losing focus because of gender confusion an excuse. Anyways, good luck to you this season. Look forward to whipping you in South Bend, again.

You have some confidence there. While in the background Troy is burning.

You guys let Polamalu go a day after signing day? Smart move Kiffin. I heard some recruits were pissed to say the least.

But as the saying goes, you choose the school and the package that comes with it. We never had to cheat to get where we're at. We're going to show you how it's done. Good thing for us is recruits are finally starting to see how your program really is.

You do huh? Since you love the "Men" of Troy so much that you put your job description in your user name, why not take the condom off before you suck baby, that way you can enjoy our explosive big finish.

Edit: I just assumed that you are a woman, judging by your user name. Hmmm, I might have just gone Teo'ing.

Must suck losing to no names.

Yup. Their 5* stud packed classes have been losing to our 3* no names for 15 years. They can have the top 5 recruiting classes. I'll take finishing in the top 5 nationally in the actual sport.
