Jesus, read my posts in this thread, I already responded to this exact question. I'm not saying he intended it as racism, I'm saying that the historical context of ethnic pride movements place an inherent stigma around any "white pride" movements.
Multiple people in this thread are approaching this from a "we're all starting from an equal footing" mentality that just doesn't match up with reality.

Oh because anybody who is alive today has any control over what happened in the 1800s.... get over it! If everybody wants to live as an equal, the past has to be dropped. The more people refuse to get over it, the less likely it is to ever become an 'equal' society.

What is left to fight for? What can I do that a minority can't?
Hell in most cases minorities are given advantages, hence my rants on reverse racism. Example, minority owned business are given huge advantages,even in things as simple as state government procurement opportunities. Why does any business deserve an advantage over another? ... Define equality again?

I skipped to the end to post one simple thing.
If someone said "I'm proud to be an African American male." nodoby would care. Why the double standard?
Are the feminist out here complaining that he said he was proud to be male?
I certainly don't care if a black man is proud to be black, why can't a white man be proud to be white?
Food for thought..
I just think people blow being proud of what makes people what they are way out of proportion.
