Feel sorry for me, that's fine. I do what I can to help who I can. I wouldn't be so quick to judge me. But IMO it is a shame that 1 person ruins it for several. If more people held those people accountable instead of trying to guilt me for not supporting a system that is less honest than myself when it comes to reaching out, then we would be a whole lot better off. To answer your question I would not sacrifice the 8. I would hold the 1 accountable so that the 8 didn't have to suffer. I can do that when I distribute my contributions.

I'm just saying your real choice is either sacrificing the 8 to punish the 1 or living with an imperfect system. The gov. can't afford to police the system to the point it needs to be.
I accept the system will always be imperfect but I would rather some of my money go to someone undeserving so those 8 people who need the money can get it- than no one get it at all.

Well we have different outlooks on the matter. I respect yours as well as mine.
As far as what what the government can afford and how they choose to distribute our money, as I said I can distribute my contributions much better and it won't break me not giving money to abusers. Affordability is a matter of opinion. You only mention some of the outcomes of our choices. The short term ones... "real choice is either sacrificing the 8 to punish the 1 or living with an imperfect system". You left out the long term effects which are supporting a system that gives incentives for people to not work or find a job which leads to a society that would rather be given handouts than to contribute to society. You do realize that while we were in this conversation, a thread was created title: "I just quit my job today... I will be accepting unemployment tomorrow. What should I do because I won't be busy for a few months now".
I don't buy that the system can't be changed. I believe the ROI will negate the cost, and because I believe that way, I will vote for a person who best supports my beliefs.

Recruiting you look at the top10-15 recruiting classes each and every year. And its the same ole schools, we all know the names the big SEC schools, the Florida schools, West coast school. and the schools with the traditions and all of that.
And the little guy doesnt stand half a chance in recruiting 99% of the time. The best school doesnt alway win. If 18,17 yea rold were should great decision makers, Drinking age would be 17, and people could run for president and 19. Its rough out here in this world 99% vs 1% just like the every day man or woman working hard 2, 3 jobs to the bone.
And the rich paying in taxes less in % wise than their sectaries and all that jazz. This whole country is moving to this, eat or be eating SUPER GREEDY , capitalism Greed market. And its moving to college sports too. the ncaa is a joke, college presidents dont want a playoff, the Ncaa is run by the college president. yet the ncaa joke is to police the colleges! What type of a joke is that?
You have some States like in Michigan where coward Governor taken away the rights of unions. Even Republicans like the good ones in Indiana and saying that's not right.
To me its almost a miracle that we have teams like Bosie State and TCU, Oregon Even VA tech in a way
that each and every year they keep winning, even when the game is against them, and even more amazing why teams like florida state, and UCLA And Notre Dame dont win more, when its pretty much set up for them to make it too BSC games each year.
Alot of this recruits todays age are just followers, sheep hate to say it but its true, but going from Indiana to LSu to ND? come on. Kids from the north going to the south to play football, 70% of the kids will ride the bench for 3 years. alot of them will not make it to the NFL, because they didnt get that chance to play. Less playing time in the south, Sec, Florida schools. But its hard to get that through to 17, 18years old, when in their home town its 25 degrees in jan, and their taken Jan 20 trips to U of Florida , Were it will be65 degree and sunny with hot chick everywhere. sheep been sheep.
But its the culture, every man or woman for himself, Wall street going nuts, taken trillions from government and paying 0% interest on the money, and the 99% average man or woman would have to pay 8-10 % on a loan. and Wonder why even Republicans dont like Mr Wall Street Mitt Romney. I know am all over the place , but its connect some how you know.
this whole greed is good movement of the 80,s and 90,s turned America into 99% vs the 1%. made people super greedy.
Money is not bad, its the love of money thats bad.

What recruiting boost? Oregon U of NIKE. has the #21 class right now.
2011 they finished 12, in 2010 they finished 20th wow thats really something. You cant fool me i have studied the recuiting classes for Oregon, FSU, TExas, LSu, BAMA from 2006-2012 and its not even class, LSU and Oregon did the best with their talent they brought in, ORegon has a lot of 3 star kids on their team, LSu has mostly 4 star, 1,2 5 stars, and 3 stars.
But Florida state was the worst to me, they brought in classes that were equal to LSu or even better. And did nothing with them, Texas recruiting is nuts, hey get who ever they want in Texas. and still cant make a Bcs game??????
So the have's are getting pretty much who they want. and still that's not enough,. Espn , rivals.com all this site help out the big boys. try watching ESPNU recruiting shows. its always the same 10 teams, Notre Dame, Florida, FSU, BAMA, LSU, TEXAS USC. this is why i dislike espn so much. They have an interest in who does well, their becoming like foxnews or msnbc.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

1) I don't understand why you're so angry; and
2) It's pretty clear that the recruiting rankings are an inexact science. When you have teams offering kids as sophomores, inevitably you're going to end up with a few prospects that don't develop as anticipated. Not surprising; a guy is going to look different at 20 than at 16. Teams like Texas and Penn State got burned with this "early commit" strategy; PSU no longer does it, though Texas does.
3) A top 20 class is pretty darn good; you're at about the 83rd percentile nationally. Give the variables in recruiting (mostly between the "high 3-stars" and "low 4-stars"), a top 20 class could pretty easily end up beating a top 10 class down the road.

Alabama wasn't recruiting on a high level, in my opinion, during the Dubose, Franchione, Shula years. Saban came in, turned the program around, and now all of the big time recruits want to be apart of the success. I wouldn't lump Bama in this discussion because we were only an average program for the first half of the 2000's.

All am saying to everyone is,equal and fair is the way to go. Am writing this for the young men the athletes. Just last week Alabama told a kid who had committed a year ago, that me had to grey shirt. We all know the sec practices of pushing kids out of the program and over signings. Am speaking to all those northeast athletes. Stay home at your home town schools, and build them into power houses. Mama knows best. And on the politics side ,Democrat are for all people doing well. And that's poor, middle class and rich. The Republicans on fox news a d congress all for the rich only. And lastly no am not angry. But do you think it's fair nick saban rank Oklahoma state in the 20s just to keep them out of the title game. That's cheating.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
