Fact is both were drunk. Then instead of the law gettin involved the should have duked it out like real men and be done with it. Was his sentence suspended and how much was if that's the case. Believe me im not taking up for the guy im just pissed at the legal system

I don't care either way.. This whole situation is funny... It's humorous listening to people stick up for a 33 year old man doing this.. I could understand if it were a kid in school but at that age, you know better and should have consequences.. Yelp. Some people are taking up for the dude because he was a bama fan. That's crazy. I think the guy was way out of line and should be punished for his actions but a 2 year sentence is excessive to say the least.
i know someone right now that killed a drug dealer because hisgirlfriend was screwing him for crack. Dude got 15 years and for every day he serves he gets a day knocked off. So he will serve 7 years for Murder all because basically o he killed a drug dealer lets just slap him on the wrist. Or how about if you get caught with 1 crack rock no matter if your selling it about to smoke it or whatever its 25 years for that single rock. Legal system is screwed up bad

Completely ridiculous. This coming form a city where people flash, walk around naked, and have sex on the streets. America sucks

How about people murdering folks in the superdome or raping women in the streets down there. New Orleans, while fun as hell, is one of the most dangerous city's in the nation. And you can't convict a murderer for 2 years but this dumbass gets 2 years for being a idiot and a fan of a team that embarrassed the home city. Nothing more

In all honesty it cost about 25 dollars a day expected a prisoner to be housed dunno where the 45k a year comes from but still too much iyam. Still no reason to waist tax payers money on the guy for this. The judicial system is very flawed. They would rather put people in jail for non violent crimes and leave the real criminals out on the street

I just read where California avg. cost to incarcerate 1 person a year is $48k. Was kinda estimating for Louisiana there. Then looked it up and LA is $17k per year. WTF California?

So $425k over 25 years no inflation in Louisiana.
And, $1.2 million over 25 no inflation in California

I'm not sticking up for anyone. The guy is a dumb ass but he doesn't deserve this. He wasn't video tapping it either. He was way too drunk to be walking let alone tapping. I don't know if you ever went to college or are planning to go, but when you get there, don't pass out at the party. The guy who did got off easy compared to what usually happens to the people who do. And God help him if he passed out at his own frat party. This country sucks major ass and so does the DA who prosecuted this case while standing on his soap box......it's for the children.
