The Best and Worsts of College Football...

Notice I didn't identify as Columbia, SC as Best College Town. Clemson itself is purty, but there just isn't anything to do and the bar scene has no character. Plus they have the ugliest color scheme which decorates them thar hills, in addition to the most obnoxiously delusional fan base in the country. Clemson is crime free only because of the shady preferential treatment the players receive by Clemson CSI...Barney Fife and Otis the Drunk.

Starksville sucks too, but I hate Clemson, and that is coming from someone who grew up in Greenville.

I grew up in Columbia and noticed the shittyness of the town when I was a small chap, nothing really to do with USC being there.

I live in Greenville now, and it's superior to Columbia in about every way, with the exception of it being closer to the beach.

  • Here is a series of tailgate rankings by Sports Illustrated, they went around the country and graded the various tailgate cultures...the USC breakdown is first, but you can select your school if it's there, on the right side of the article. From 2007.

    SI.com - Tailgate Report Card: USC - Dec 12, 2007

Throughout the season, SIOC will travel to different schools and grade the tailgate scene in 10 categories. Today's stop: USC

Auburn tailgating is pretty sweet actually. Everyone is setup all around the buildings on campus surrounding the stadium. It was more concentrated than at Bama. I like it, but then again, I'm not a hater.

Yeah because I disagree with you my opinion has to be colored by my dislike for their University.

    GTFO with that BS.

Like you're enlightened because you disagree with me...riight.

No, your opinion is colored by your dislike based on your answers, bro. Auburn tailgating is FAR from the worst. Saying otherwise is silly. You need to expand your horizon a bit.

Okay wait a minute. I included in my post the places I had been for games and the campuses I had just visited.

If your reading comprehension skills were a little better you would have realized it was the worst *I HAVE BEEN TO*.

So, my statements were fine because I expressed my opinion based on the places I have been, not 'colored by my dislike.'

It's okay guy, like your name implies, you're the 'less mentally fortunate' part of our fanbase.

Fine, you have no personal bias against Auburn. Feel better now?

By the way, resorting to personal attacks is one of the first signs having a poor argument. It only took you 2 post to get there.

I agree with your Greenville comment, it is far superior. However, the difference in crime is only because of the population difference. Greenville has 60k within its city limits versus Columbia having 700k. A tremendous difference. I'd imagine if Greenville ever becomes that large then it too will have the same fate. It comes with the territory in a state that has a high unemployment rate versus the national average and a large income gap.

I live in Greenville as well. cheers
