The Chiefs

  • who do you think they should take as their #1 pick. There are several options

Geno Smith, Matt Barkely, Jarvis Jones, Manti Te'o, etc.

  • Jarvis jones and buy tebow, you will sale out all your games and still get a high pick next year

    tareagle

  • Screw Tebow, we want to win. They sellout home games every year anyway.

  • I personally would not select Barkley with a 1st round pick. I would trade it if I could and land multiple picks in future drafts.

Can't really go wrong with a DL pick that early. Probably Lotuleilei or Hankins at NT.

    zabba

  • Right, a dl would be perfect. You can never have to many. A decent qb like Tyler Russell will still be available later. He might be a steal for whoever takes him.

  • If we don't go with a QB then we should get the OT from A&M. No more DL please. Seems like every year we go with one of them.

  • from the draft projections... it's Geno Smith.. not being racist but Andy Reid likes Black quarterbacks. lol

  • Joeckel #1 to KC and then they trade back into the first if necessary to grab either Barkley or Glennon. Bray could be a possibility later, but really took a step backwards this year. Could also look at someone like Murray later. Either way, the OL needs to be addressed first and the QB's will be available later.

While I would love to see Te'o go #1, the fact is that MLB's don't go #1 and probably not top five. OL, DL, and edge-rushing OLB's will dominate the top ten. Te'o will go between 10-20. First QB SHOULDN'T go until after 15, but teams always reach for them so who knows. No RB or WR will be top fifteen. Will definitely be a trench-heavy first round.

  • Knowing Reid he'll try to bring Vick to KC with him haha

    Cg87

  • Geno #1, DeAndre Hopkins 2nd round to put on the other side of Dwayne Bowe. Add that to Andy Reid, and the Chiefs are all of a sudden very dangerous. They don't need help on the Oline right now, or I would agree with Joeckel. They need a QB, and another outside weapon.

Yes and those QBs have been succesful under Reid. Yes Vick looked bad at times, but that was because he did not have a good OL in front of him

The only thing that scares me, is that Reid has pretty much always had a dual threat QB. Geno isn't a dual threat. He is a pocket passer.

Geno is mobile though right? I know he doesn't like to move much but he can when needed correct?

Mcnabb was more of a pocket passer who had good speed.

He runs like a ton of bricks. He will take off, but only if he needs to, and will never break long run. Ever.

Lots of second round type qb's this year. Go with a tackle and grab a qb later in the second. I like Glennon a lot. Geno is not worry a first overall pick

Normally I would agree with you, but the Chiefs have a good offensive line. Going into the offseason, they needed a coach, a QB, and another big target at WR. Why not take the best QB in the draft? If they don't, why take a position that is not a need? Still think Geno/Hopkins are the perfect round 1/2 scenario. An offense with Charles, Bowe, Geno, and Hopkins at the skill positions with already having a good offensive line will be lethal. Chiefs had a good defense last year. At least, not a BAD defense last year.

    Reid
    Geno
    Hopkins
    Other picks

That will have this team looking completely revamped, and really get the fans excited.

What are the Chiefs major weaknesses besides QB? I've done my best trying to avoid watching AFC West games this year unless it was Denver.

receiving TE, interior DL, and WR (hard to say that cause we had no one to get it to them)

  • Sucks for the Chiefs honestly. They get the number one pick in a shitty qb year and the year before Clowney comes out. Just wait

They will end up with the 2nd overall pick next year and miss out on Clowney. Unlucky franchise

Te'o isn't close to being talented enough to be taken with a number 1 overall pick. I like the kid personally and he's a good LB'r but he's a middle first round pick at best.
