The Dark Knight Rises

  • Eh, certainly the worst one of the three imo

Finally watched it last night and I was entertained but overall that movie just wasn't that good

The scene where they went to war and the unarmed cops charged machine gun and tank fire was one of the most epically tarded scenes in movie history

and how does Joe the cop and some random gangster continue fighting when Batman and Bane are going head to head 5 feet from your location ? That was just a horrible scene..... I mean who doesn't stop to watch that fight ? especially when you are just trading blows for no god damn reason

Other thing that bothered me was I knew that stupid shit Alfred was talking about when he said he hoped to see him at some vacation spot with a wife and blah blah, I knew that would be a final scene of some kind the moment he said and it really killed the ending for me for I knew he was still alive

Also lolz at a young ass little girl making that jump but a grown ass batman needing 3 tries, Im calling bullshit on that one

Bane was awesome but he wasn't enough to make up for the rest

Solid story but poorly executed, like usual they worried too much about explosions and expensive shit like Michael Bay took over or something

Ill give it a B cause I love Batman so much and I was certainly entertained even though I was disappoint

    Batman Begins 4life!.... Still #1

  • I enjoyed it. The reason they had to put the part in there when Alfred said "I hope to see you with a wife and a life on vacation" and all that is because you have to many dumbasses who couldn't get something like that on their own and figure it out. I try to watch every movie for what it is and basically on keeping me entertained for 2 and half hours, I give it an A.

I give it an A as well. The trilogy as a whole is epic. Best comic book movies ever made & they will be very hard to top. I'm just glad that someone came along & gave Batman his just dues, after Schumacher took a heaping steaming sh!t on it.

The reason it took Bruce three jumps is because the rope was too short and held him back. That was the whole point of that scene.

  • The part you said about the ending in Paris or whatever was by far the worst part of the movie. Everyone knew what was gonna happen. Ludicrous. Other than that, it was fine. I went in with little expectations, hoping to see some decent action and got exactly that. Some of the story was better than the Dark Knight and nowhere near Batman Begins.

It was I agree, Bane was awesome too and he did have any epic death or nothing

And his fights with batman were terrible other than the one he beats him down

It was just a poorly executed movie, easily Nolan's worst and its not even that close

I still can't get over that war scene, dumbest thing I have ever seen

Cops weren't even cuffing the bad guys or nothing, everybody just squared up one on one and threw hands.... I was lolzin so god damn hard, I rewinded it like 8 times just to see the front line get merked by tank fire

Respect, but I win cause I didn't even see it in the theater

I knew it wouldn't touch the others, especially the first one

Its hard to keep making greatness like that and especially when hollywood starts spending more money on war scenes and locations and not the actual story

Catwoman was just stupid too, ugh..... Im so disappoint

Didn't expect it to be that bad

  • I thought it was excellent. 2nd best of the Nolan Batman movies.

I also thought Bain's voice was freaking awesome. The juxtaposition of his weird high pitched voice and how massively bad ass he was - it was a great contrast. Loved his voice.

As far as people hating on Skyfall - you're crazy. If you're one of those folks who said Skyfall wasn't as good as the Bonds before it (except Casino Royale), then you're probably one of those folks who says crap like that just so you can sound nuanced.

Things you do if you also say you hated Skyfall:

    - Brag about how you only listen to LPs
    - Constantly remind people that you "don't even own a tv"
    - Shop at thrift stores because "vintage rules!"
    - Tell everyone how _____ film was nowhere near as good as the book
    - Agree with most movie critics
    - Your favorite movie is something super obscure and probably foreign
    - Your favorite album is something super obscure and probably foreign (or the Beatles)

Spoken like someone who satisfies all the characteristics I outlined.

Classic bond movies, for the most part, weren't even serious cinema. They were campy popcorn flicks that appealed to a mass audience of the time. It's just "cool" to bag on new shit. If you say something new sucks, then you come off as the super informed nuanced guy who's life is so rich and so full, he doesn't even have time to be bothered by baser American things.

You wanna tell me that Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan Bond movies were serious cinema and Daniel Craig bonds aren't? How about a villain who can slice stuff up with a hat?

    Give me a break.

Just because something is older, doesn't mean it's better. But it does mean you can use it as your favorite thing over the newer version and sound super important at hipster parties.

No, you clearly just don't know shit

The Dark Knight Rises was a bad joke, its a movie that could have been so much better

Also will somebody explain to me how a atom bomb goes off in the water and doesn't create a tsunami or something and takes out Gotham anyways ?

The whole movie was just stupid

Seriously, watch it again.... especially the scene where cops who had been underground for 3 months just charge a mob unarmed..... run face first into tank fire and then proceed to square up one on one in perfect harmony ?

It was easily the dumbest scene I have ever scene, since when does modern warfare resemble Braveheart ?
