Almost guaranteed. Warners and DC aren't going to let their biggest cash cow just fade away.

They clearly set it up for someone else to take over the cowl.

Any chance we will see a spin off with the detective?

Yep, mine is identical to that. You cant beat the joker and batman

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

I would be fine if they took what Nolan left them and ran with it. I don't want to see another reboot.

I would love to see something like Battle for the Cowl. If the kids name really was Drake then they left tons of possibilities.

Something like Batman Beyond would be awesome.

I didn't even notice that. These damn Nolan films you pick up on things the more times you watch it. They are well made

  • I have them 1,2,3, go watch the first one again. I watched all three within hours of each other and came away very impressed. Though all three were great movies.

It was very, very good. TDK and TDKR were two very different films IMO. TDK was a crime drama. This was a superhero movie.

    I personally liked TDK.

Well they certainly set it up that way. It would be cool to see him as Nightwing or something.

  • I just got out of the IMAX and it was absolutly BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The best end to any trilogy ever. Left nothing to guess at. All explained in a matter of the last five minuets. Still just floored at how good it was.

  • Very well done. What could have been if Heath Ledger were still alive...

  • I don't think any one film in this trilogy is better than the others. They're all uniquely awesome in their own way. Which is astonishing, 'cause how many trilogies do we get where ALL 3 movies are great?

    Only one other. Star Wars.

Edit: make that two. I liked everyone of the LOTR,too. Not sure how I forgot that.

All 3 LOTR were extraordinary IMO. I agree about the original Star Wars trilogy. The newer trilogy was borderline bad at times. Almost ruined Star Wars for me.

I love that all 3 films in this series were very unique from one another.

He has already said he has no interest in that.

I think he has done his time. I think he wants to move on and do something else. Which I am fine with. He gave us 3 spectacular films. Just think about what he did for the Batman films. They were garbage before he took over.

I look forward to whatever his next project. Whatever that may be. Rumor is it is a film about Howard Hughes later in life than the Aviator was.

Superman is his next reboot, and it'll be amazing

  • No one has mentioned it but Miranda/Talia plays two different roles; she's both Poison Ivy and Talia. The more I think about it, the better it was. Bane is pure evil but his intentions truly are pure and out of love. Do yall think that Bane knew that it was Talia because she had the detonator but he was crying when she was talking about him?

He is only producing Man of Steel. Zack Snyder is directing.

I don't really get either one. I don't follow how Talia was also Poison Ivy.

Also is he is asking if Bane knew that Miranda was in fact Talia? I am 100% certain that he did know. She had her father go back to the prison to rescue Bane and he was in the League of Shadow with Talia. They were working together the entire film.

  • Regarding the ranking of the three movies:
I know I'm in the minority, but I've always thought TDK was a little overrated. The most important thing in any movie to me is story. Special effects, sound, cinematography, and even acting sometimes take a back seat to the quality of the story in my mind. That said, I loved the story being told in Batman Begins. It have been because I was 17 when I first saw it and it was a pretty fresh take on the superhero genre, but it was special. The Dark Knight was also amazing, but I put it slightly below because the whole time I was thinking that I wanted to know more about how The Joker got to be the way he was. I'm sure TDKR would have done that if Heath Ledger was alive, but it didn't, so. . .

    My ranking:
    BB
    TDK/TDKR

I'll have to see TDKR again before I can really say whether or not I liked it better or worse than TDK.

I'll have to see TDKR again before I can really say whether or not I liked it better or worse than TDK.

Alan Moore who wrote the Killing Joke and gave one interpretation of how the Joker came to be (which was the version Tim Burton used in the 1988 Batman) said that the Killing Joke is just one possibility. He didn't believe that anyone should say this is how the Joker came to be.

The Joker doesn't have a back story and that is what makes him the best villain. Nobody knows or understands his motivations. He just wants to cause chaos. He is not driven by the usual motivators such as power or money.

To further expand on that thought. When the Joker gave his first explanation of how he got his scars in TDK I was very disappointed. When he gave his speech the second time and it was a completely different story I was so relieved.

Yeah, this Batman series is right up there with Star Wars and LOTR for me as well.

@TheJumper- The reason that I enjoy TDK a little more than the others is because of the Jokers anonymity. You know NOTHING about him, and he is the perfect villain for batman, the ultimate detective. And I know you said you enjoy story the mos and I agree with you on that as well, but I think TDK had story, and it had those BAM scenes(The Truck flipping) to put it over the op. Either way we are splitting hairs, they all are great lol.

And the reason I know this was a great ending to a series is because I still have that empty sad feeling a day after watching it. I realize there won't be anymore truly epic movies with all of the cast and crew. Very few movies can make me miss them, and this joined Star Wars, and LOTR. Truly and epic trilogy.

Poison Ivy is the brains behind's Bane operation, just as it's always been. She's also an environmental nut and immune to toxins. Miranda wants the cold fusion reactor so she poses as an environmentalist until we learn that she's actually Talia and fulfilling Ras-al-gul's will.
I hadn't thought about that but I was thinking that maybe she had left without a trace.
Another question I have is how did Bane know to be right under Wayne Enterprises because Fox and Wayne were the only guys who knew about the RND lab.
