    This is a good topic, but I'm not sure anyone could match Ledger as the Joker.

    I know he's getting old and this is a common thing to say, but Johnny Depp would be a phenomenal Riddler

  • While the Riddler is a great villian, I think he's just a poor mans Joker. The characters are far too similar.

    I would love to see them continue this storyline and use some villains that haven't been used before. Maybe Black Mask. Maybe even Red Hood but they would have to set that one up obviously.

    What about Killer Croc or whatever his name was?

    He doesn't really fit into Nolan's universe with the unrealistic side. Unless they can come up with a reason why someone would look like this...

    He was basically a normal guy born with scales because of some weird birth defect. He was super strong and reptilian, but just a normal villain. Then he started getting drawn with a snout, a tail, and getting more and more reptilian by the issue. Now he's just a crocodile. One of the reasons why Nolan's trilogy was so good is that it could easily happen anywhere. It's completely believable as opposed to stories like Spiderman and Superman where they have superpowers.

    I would still love to see Nolan try to do something with him, though. I mean, Bane (and Ra's Al Ghul) in the comics is a pretty unbelievable character but they changed it enough to make him into an awesome character. I'm sure they could do something cool.

    I would leave that to the more well-informed people lol I was pissed when they cast the gay cowboy guy as the Joker. Thought he would be awful.

    Harley Quinn would have to be a relatively unknown, just can't see it happening any other way. Besides, you'd at least one a good actress to fill the roll.

  • After looking through Wikipedia's list of Batman's enemies, here are the ones that I think would work well as central enemies in Nolan's universe:
    The Penguin
    Deadshot
    Prometheus
    Victor Zsasz

    I don't know as much about the enemies as some others on here do, but after a quick glance, those seem the most interesting for a "realistic" criminal story.

    Black Mask is probably the one I want to see the most, but he would be best as a henchman or secondary villain to one of those guys. Hush is awesome as well - he could be either a main or secondary guy.

    Also, Harley Quinn would fit in perfectly as someone who either idolized or was in love with the Joker. I added in the "idolized" because Ledgers Joker didn't seem likely to fall in love.
