    I finally let my 7 year old to start a character. All he wants to do is hunt dragons. I'm going to laugh when he gets his butt whipped a few dozen times and asks me for help.

    My 5 year old has been beginning to play. I will set it on the easiest level and let him go to town.

    Did the same thing with my teenage daughter when they were little for Morrowind.

    Definitely the best game I have ever played. I just got around to buying my first house in Whiterun. I have had the money for a while but just got around to it. I am making som serious money as a blacksmith now.

    I have to save my money for a house. I actually have been spending most of what I get for making better smithing items, in that I bought all the Dwarven Ingots I could find and am at 4/6 items being exquisite Dwarven quality.

    That being said I need to save money for a house for the storage. I already maxed out Lydia's carrying capacity by holding the Dragon bones and whatnot that I need for Dragon Armor later on.

    I can, and I know that, but with the "rarity" of the dragon stuff and not trusting people as I steal stuff from chests all the time, I would rather find a home. I was reading online that home storage is the only guaranteed storage that won't be messed with, and the article seemed to imply someone could come by and just rob you if you leave your items in a random chest.

    There are a couple:

    The blacksmith is the first building on the right.
    If you go a little further on the alchemist and general goods are straight ahead clustered in a group of 3 buildings with the third being an inn I believe.
    The enchanter is in Dragonsreach where the Jarl is.

    I was worried about the AI being at the point that a random NPC would open the chest and take stuff.

    Although I have a house now so no problems. I really hope you can get a castle like in Oblivion. Of course that was added as a free DLC later on.

  • I have a semi-funny/stupid story.

    I was going through the Barrow (I think that's the name?) caves and had just beaten down a ton of ghouls. I was in the midst of saving (my health wasn't good) and apparently another guy was behind me that I didn't know about, and it saved midstrike. Of course, he kills me. No biggie. But when I respawn, of course I am still in the same position and he is still midstrike, again killing me. This goes on some 30 times before I am able to bring up my items and regain my health. I can't even put into words how mad I was because I thought for sure I'd have to restart from outside the caves (nearly an hours work inside).

    My lesson learned: only save when you have full health and when nothing is around you. And when you think you're alone, double check.

  • Autosave isn't like it was in Oblivion. It auto saved a ton more I feel. I learned my lesson early. Gotta save constantly.
