I've only visited two of the major cities. Stupid Mage college has me distracted with lengthy quests.

I cannot beat the Draugr Overload. Any tips?

Alright. I am officially a Companion. Now, I really want to find a merchant to sell items to before I head off to do quests for the Companions. I have looked all over Whiterun and haven't found anyone. I have went to every door to see what each building is, and 90% of them are houses. A couple of them are general goods where you can buy items.

Yes I have only killed 1 and have been killed by them like 5 different times. I am only at level 7 now though.

I try not to join too many at once, that way I can concentrate on one group at a time. I get confused easily in these types of games! Still looking for somewhere to sell all of this crap that I have picked up, but don't need/want.

Mountie above the line is to buy... Below the line is to sell... You can sell any place you buy...

You have to do the quests for the Jarl to become a Thane and then he will allow you to buy the one open house for 5k.

I know this is a stupid question but how do you use both a sword and a shield? I have been using two weapon axe almost my entire playthrough just trying to level it up but the damn trolls I may need a shield for that.

Pick your weapon. Then go into "Apparel" and select your shield. Your guy will then have both. Block with L1/left bumper.

Ok thanks I was trying to pick them both from the weapons category.

I believe you have to do missions for the Jarl to make sure he trust you. It was mentioned earlier in this thread.

It is the second house on the right when you come into Whiterun. You have to talk to the bald guy that is usually standing next to the Jarl. I forget his name.
