Well Im at level 26 now and have done the mage guild and the thieves guild(almost..not going to finish it for a certain reason). I have around 13,000 on me and another 30,000 worth of goods stored at my house in Whitehold. Wish the general goods guy carried more coin. Looking to purchase another house..preferably a large expensive one. Any suggestions? Do you know if you can sell your previous houses?

You can't sell houses. The best house is in Solitude. You will need to do some quests for her before you can purchase it.

I just spread around the stuff I sell to several different vendors. I have enough money now but I need to finish some of these quests to be able to buy the house.

Im going to wait till I can afford the place in solitude. Hopefully they have armor racks.

I had to buy the one in whiterun. I needed somewhere to store everything.

  • I need some help with the main questline If anyone has played the missions yet. It is the mission right after you go to speak to the Greybeards. I am looking for horn or something.

Okay so I am in this dungeon and there is a part where I have to get past these 3 portcullis by standing next to these stones. I tried Dragon Shouting using the speed burst or whatever it is. Can anyone help me out here? I checked the guide but it was pretty unhelpful.

  • So I'm a level 12 now. My heavy armor battlemage is doing decent. I've been using the same mace since before the main quest mission in whiterun where you get your first shout. But I have to say, my favorite mission so far is from a book. It is a huge 3 part mission, its called urban legends or something like that. Highly recommend you guys looking/doing that one.

Go activate the steed stone. It will give you an extra 100 carry weight and give you a heavy armor bonus,..it will be like you arent even wearing it.

I've done the main quest but cant remember the exact part you're referring to. When in doubt just google it.

That sounds like it would be good to me. Can always use the extra weight, and it would be nice if heavy armor leveled up faster. So far I have spent all my points in destruction, conjuration, heavy armor, and smithing. I have only been to three cities, but one was very small... Morthan, or something like that?

As soon as I finish the quests required to buy it I am set. I have about $50,000 sitting in a chest in my house in Whiterun. So as soon as I buy it I will be able to buy all the stuff for the house. I can't wait.

Get a running start before the stones then hit the speed burst right at the end of the stones so you get the most out of it, then start sprinting as soon as it wears off. It took me a few ties to get it but if you play around with it some you should be able to make it.

  • If your follower dies/disappears do they ever come back?

Somehow along the way I lost my housecarl. Had to go back a few saves to find her and ended up missing out a dragon I killed in the other saves :(

Okay thanks. I read the guide and it says to use the shout twice but from what I can tell there is no way.

I think it is because it is your introduction to them. People would get put off if the very first one they faced was unkillable.

I ran across one that took me ten minutes to kill. Random attack in the wild.

Yep, I have had a few epic dragon battles. As soon as one shows up, I save. If I am by myself, I will try to shoot and scoot and try and pull it to a settlement for backup. Now though, I have a follower from doing a daedra quest who owns everything. I pull things in with my bow and she kills it. BTW, 3x Sneak attack+critical shot = solid first shot damage with the bow.

Too many times the dragon just flies around in the air and never lands. Sometimes flies away. Very frustrating

Amazingly I still have not encountered a live Mammoth. I have seen a few dead ones tbough.

Do you use fast travel a lot? I usually walk everywhere, see some need stuff along the way. Saber cats fighting a mammoth, spriggan fighting a troll, vampire fighting some people, random dragon attacks...

Yeah she most likely died. You might check back in your house to make sure they didn't go back there.

I lone wolf it so I am not sure.

Have any of you guys chosen sides yet? stormcloak or imperial legion? Im thinking Ill do that last so I dont have any extra people mad at me while doing the other quests.

I am going stormcloak, I want to start it, but I am not sure of the consequences for other quest it might have. I want to see how these siges of forts work, is it an epic battle of guys fighting all around or like the caves where you clear out sections at a time.

Best and worst moment of skyrim for me this far. I was a level 5 at the time, and came across a sabre cat. I had just read this board, and a poster said that if you see one run. Well I decided I would check it out and see how tough this cat actually is. I went through every health potion I had, but I was victorious. Right after I looted the dead cars body a dragon lands right in front of me, and before I even have a weapon drawn it chews me up and spits me out. I just had to laugh.

Second favorite moment was seeing a dragon pick up and throw a mammoth...

As do I. From what I've seen I dont think your follower can be spotted. However, once you attack your follower will usually keep attacking.

Also there are some quests where you are given a different follower and you get the message "Your follower is replaced by X" and then the follower you had will end up either at your house, or their house and you just need to talk to them again to have them back.

I agree, at first I wanted to slap the b!tch and tell her to watch where she stepped, she sounded loud as hell. After awhile iit seems like she has no effect on if others notice, all based on my actions.

Another cool thing about the companion is the interaction. We were in a dungeon and stepped into a room with a badass view. As I was thinking how awesome it looked, she commented that it was an impressive site.
