Plasma actually has the fastest response time typically. Overall though I would go with LCD. There is a reason that most PC gaming monitors are LCD.

I have always leaned toward LED? you don't like?

I like them and Sony but Samsung is a lot more reasonably priced compared to Sony. Sharp makes awesome TVs too.

Sharp does make good TVS.. Toshiba has come up strong in the TV industry as well.
