Take your time and make sure you have many decisions to choose from. My biggest regret was bullrushing up to Tuscaloosa.

I was DEADSET on going to Alabama. I didn't apply to anywhere else. <---- That was the dumbest mistake possible. Why not though? My friends were going there. It was a solid program for what I wanted. Partying. Football. Great Greek system.

Ended up backfiring on me. And now that I want to do other things, I think to myself," hey you dumbfuck if you had looked at other options (and I had many, 32 ACT with a 4.0+ GPA) and you could be in NYC, Chicago etc.".

Just make sure you are choosing from different options to put everythjng in perspective.

Are you from Alabama? I applied there and got in, but don't know anything about the school. Also got into Arizona and LSU.

I've been in the same town in Maryland for 15 years, moved here when I was too. It's gotten stale. I've got good friends but love meeting new people and seeing new things. My opportunities are limited because I'm gotten average grades and test scores. I've been a Maryland fan all my life- basketball/football games. Been to campus so many times, do I want something different? About 15 to 20% of my school will be going there, but it's a huge school so that shouldn't matter.

The MD decision comes out Jan 31 so I'd like to wrap things up quickly.
