Are you from Alabama? I applied there and got in, but don't know anything about the school. Also got into Arizona and LSU.
I've been in the same town in Maryland for 15 years, moved here when I was too. It's gotten stale. I've got good friends but love meeting new people and seeing new things. My opportunities are limited because I'm gotten average grades and test scores. I've been a Maryland fan all my life- basketball/football games. Been to campus so many times, do I want something different? About 15 to 20% of my school will be going there, but it's a huge school so that shouldn't matter.
The MD decision comes out Jan 31 so I'd like to wrap things up quickly.

I'd like it to be big, major sports teams (dont have to be great just BCS conference), good business program, things to do outside of normal campus stuff. I'm not picky at all with these things, and I'd rather not go to a city school since those schools are usually smaller and way more artsy. Pretty much no small schools.

I was actually considering going to college in Poland last year, and it's cheaper than any other American school. Would certainly be an experience, European schools are different. Probably not doing it but was fun to talk about.
