I remember 1 month after starting my serving job in Tennessee I came back to Tuscaloosa and went on a date with this girl. Just went to Desperados for dessert before going to get drinks. Place was dead at 7:30 PM. I hated when the dinner rush would die out quickly so I left $30 for a $6 tab. I don't ever leave less than 30% anymore. A good server will usually get 50% out of me.
I never understood people who go out to eat and clearly don't factor in the tip to their tab. If I'm going to a decent place with the g/f where the food will be $25 or more per person, I know I'm dropping that in tip if the service is good. Some people go out and see their check and go "oh shit, I didn't want to spend that much, now I gotta tip less". Fucking terrible.

I don't work in one anymore. Used to work in one up in Knoxville.
Depending on how much my next producer job pays, may have to get a job with a restaurant in Bham and work a few shifts per week. I gotta get better pay than this $8/hour to produce shows bullshit lol.
