auburn fans were excited about lefty and vannpornstache...were excited about tight ends and full backs last year. were excited about smash mouth big boy physical football last year...are now excited about gus ball, finesse ball. i take auburn fans excitement with a 'grade of saw'.

we shall see...history shows that in pfd, tater, tubby, chiznik...they caught lightening in a bottle early on...only pfd sustained long term success. this is a different sec than even 10 years ago. aub right now is battling for 4th in the west with ole miss and arkie, even msu. it will be fun to watch.
i think (all trash talking aside) gus is a good hire and will maximize talent.

And Tubbs was gone along with the mediocrity....just shut up and hope Auburn doesn't suck as bad as they did this year. Personally I can't wait. The excitement will grow leaps and bounds once Auburn has 3 QB's throw for 200 yards a piece in the Spring game. The cup will run over with joy when Auburn smokes a couple early scrub teams by 40. Then once all Auburn fans are back "All in" and you start SEC west play, Auburn will start getting beat down and the Bodda Getta will be back to wondering wtf just happened. It will be Glorious.

I liked TT, was a great coach for us and won a lot of games at Auburn. Nothing mediocre about his stint as coach. Believe this, there won't be beat downs/blowouts on the Plains anymore; we will score plenty. Do you lurk tBG often? And please quit acting like you have an elite team this year, you have the benefit of being ranked high in the preseason. Nothing your team has done says greatness.

You're kidding right? There's a reason SEC teams were fighting for Cam's services coming out of JUCO. The player who won the juco championship and the one who won the D1 championship are the same player. Forget CUM's opinion, the guy had a hard on for Tebow and superman himself would have sat #2 behind him as long as Urb was coaching. The only thing Gus did to help "make cam" as you said is providing the perfect offense for his style of play and then getting out of the way.

I'm fine with you believing in CGM, you're suppose to to support him 100%, but saying that "Gus made Cam" is crazy and simply inaccurate.

I'm not saying Gus isn't a great coach. That's yet to be seen IMO. What I am saying is that in Cams case it was simply being in the right offense. Gus didn't change his offensive philosophy for Cam correct? So one would think had cam gone to another team with respectable talent and the same offense that Cam was good enough to win 10+ regardless the destination. I'm not taking anything away from Gus, I'm simply giving that much to Cam.
