Yeah, a girl I used to date works in PR for the talent agency that reps him. Said similar things, guy has a terrible attitude.

I really liked it. Especially the ending. It was well paced and meaningful. I like how they based the story line on real events

Great show. Great writing as usual for Sorkin. He is one of the truly great writers and, yes, a complete dick but aren't all the really great ones?
The show is about the inner workings of a cable news show for a fictional CNN type news channel. It opens with the anchor played by Daniels absolutley making an ass of himself at a college forum and dealing with the fallout.
Sam Waterston is a freaking riot, btw.

Sorkin's shows tend to get better as they go along. The West Wing got better every year until Sorkin left the show after season 4. He builds characters over time rather than just try and create drama, he lets the characters build their own as he unravels more of who they are.
