They're trees. The theme is "Deep in the Woods" (the words are painted on the floor). It's in honor of Mathew Knight (Phil Knight's son), who died in a climbing accident or something like that. He was a big outdoorsman.

The nickname of the arena is The Matt. I didn't know about the smile part though.

I know what they are but don't understand them. Flopping, for instance, is like soccer flippers to me. Why can't you let a man run through another guy on the flor trying to score? That's damn hard to do. You have to dribble you have to hurdle your body at some 6'6" 235 lb guy then you have to control the ball and still put it in the hoop. WTF? You should be rewarded for being bad ass.

OSU and MIN are on the road, right?
Duke could lose to NC State, but I find it most likely that UM loses @MIN. Honestly, I think there's a chance MIN is tied with UM and IU as the best teams.
Should be some great games all around.
I love the B1G this year. No road game is guaranteed, should result in several OT games this year.
