From what I have heard, Stauskus is/was a youtube sensation.

I don't get the sense that we're relying on him to hit 3s. "Relying" gives the impression the team would be .500 without Stauskas.

There's a battle to the death between two of our former opponents on ESPN right now. NCST @ GTWN. Is it possible for us to compete with each other by proxy?

That's it. He's gone irrational. No one is saying Stauskus will shoot 60% from three on the season. We merely challenged his comment that Byrd is a better shooter. He's not. Stauskus isn't just having a couple good shooting games. He shoots extremely well in practice. He shot extremely well in HS. He's a very good shooter.

Tim Doyle is not who you want endorsing your bball team . . . but anyone that says anything other than UM looks very very strong right now is an idiot.

MSU fans seem real jealous of Stauskas. Hating on the kid, too bad he's been lights out all summer as well. Every person who visited Michigan raved about him, he's going to be a baller and an insane shooter.

Hey, I'm jealous of any team that has a guy that they can count on to hit 2-3 3 pointers/game. MSU hasn't had respectable 3-point shooting since the 2005 team (Ager, Hill, Brown, Anderson, Torbert).

I don't think you understand, Stauskas is bred to be a lethal shooter. He is very good at selecting high-percentage shots, and it just so happens that he never misses said high-percentage shots. His mechanics are unnaturally compact, which is why every shot he takes looks like it'll cash. 10 of his 11 misses were rim-outs, 3 of which were in and out.

I don't see his 3-point percentage dropping below 50%. I feel he could maintain where he is currently, above 60%. It's easy to say this after all the hype he had as a shooter both in high school and throughout preseason, but to watch it over the course of 12 or so games has been a large enough sample size for me. When he puts up a shot I expect it to go in every time and I rarely feel this way, even when considering pure shooters.

With that said, I'll take you on any bet. 47.5%

That would be pretty insane and probably make him a 1 and done. I was going to try to catch the game last night, but Amazon delivered Dark Knight Rises and my wife wanted to watch that. When is the next um game? One of these days I'll catch one.

They play Arkansas on Saturday. I'm actually worried about this game because I can see Michigan's freshmen struggling with Arkansas's defensive pressure. And Arkansas also beat Michigan last year.

I must add, this line just hurts...
