Good catfight last night. Calipari accuses Duke of flopping, Coach Kay should of fired back and accused Cal of paying players.

I heard Izzo took a shot at Cal

Where would that number be if Adams wasn't giving up big plays. Some believe the hype, others watched and saw him for what he was.

Who is in the pipeline for next year?

Trae Waynes or Ezra Robinson. Waynes would be a RS Soph and Robinson a RS FR. Robinson was one of those guys who you hear "almost had his RS pulled" because of his work on the scout team, blah blah blah. #3 guy this year was/is Mitchell White, but he was needed some at S so right now I'd say it's Waynes.

Only thing I know about those guys is that they're relatively tall; Waynes is 6'1 and Robinson around the same size.

CB is a huge question mark if Dennard leaves, and maybe even if he stays. MSU needs 2 good CBs to run their defense effectively.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Trae Waynes is the one on the depth chart, but we've heard very very good things about Ezra Robinson

White looked lost out there, from what I remember.

DBs is Dantonio's strength right? If that is the case, then I would imagine MSU will always have strong DB play similar to how it looks like Michigan will have strong dline play with Hoke.

Do you think Demetrius Cox ends up changing positions to SS or maybe CB? He's got a junior in Drummond ahead of him, and a RS Freshman in RJ, who are both making plays and playing extremely well at FS

Yea, they've shown the ability to replace members of the secondary with good success the last few years.

White is someone I never want to see on the field until MSU had a 5 TD lead with 5 minutes to go.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

I fully expect State's offense to improve in the passing game next season, but there are no guarantees. There's plenty of examples of guys who did NOT improve that much from their first to second year. There are also guys who have regressed, for one reason or another.

It'll be interesting to see who returns next season for mSu AND Michigan.

It does look a bit better now, but those kids need to work their ass off this off season. They need to start trusting each other too

Just saw this in an ESPN article, subtle shot by coach K?

"We took charges. There's a difference between a charge and a flop,'' he said. "Besides, we don't make money. We can't be fined.''

That's the point rocky, any non casual observer knows narduzzi's defense starts with corners. For anyone to think Adams isn't one of the top cb's in the conference is crazy. That doesn't mean NFL but he is an exceptional college cb. You're right though, when he makes a mistake, it's like a wart on your nose. you can't miss it. If narduzzi goes two like many d's do in our conference those three our four bad plays don't happen during a year. NFL scouts notice how much he's in one.

MSU should have a great D, if the DTs develop. Taiwan Jones has looked solid replacing Norman. Whoever comes in for Adams can't be worse than giving up a TD every other game. Big difference between getting beat for a completion and giving up 6. Is one of the safeties a senior?

There is no chance of Bullough and Allen leaving early is there? I wouldn't think so, Bullough is a Spartan for life and Allen seems a little on the small side for the NFL*.

*I don't agree with that sediment though, players are players, regardless of size. NFL likes their #'s though.

Per tRCMB, J5 being out there calls for at least three, maybe four. Just trust them.

Lets face it Laettner's shot still stings and everytime Kentucky plays them they are going to hear about it.

Just re-watched...that has to be the greatest finish to a cbb game ever. Unbelievable.

Kentucky v Duke: Hill Pass, Laettner Jumper

With 2.1 seconds remaining in overtime, Duke trailed 103-102. Grant Hill threw a pass the length of the court to Christian Laettner, who dribbled once, turned, and hit a jumper as time expired for the 104-103 win. Brought to you by CBS SportsLine and CSTV.

lol. Idiots are idiots. Adams is playing there for a reason. Jesus, I read that shut on the RCMB and I think about Woodson and the packers. Guy was a great cb before the switch but he'd get beat now and then, only the morons watch 3 or 4 plays during the season or see a guy give up a first down or two during a game and conclude an all conference cb isn't good. We have to read that tripe all the time from that board. Same idiots who said we suck in basketball after one game in Germany.

Ezra Robinson is my bet to replace Adams, and it will be a drop off.

I anticipate Peko starting at DT next year, probably next to Kittredge. Depth will be quite unproven at DT, most likely.

Bullough and Denicos will be back, and the safeties as well.

I remember it well too, they replayed that thing over and over.

That Duke team was a lot of fun to watch. I loved Bobby Hurley, Laettner and Grant HIll. I remember Laettner vs. Shaq and Laettner out played him.

Great vid, first minute shows some great Laettner vs. Shaq plays.

Man, MSU should be real good on D. Almost everybody back and potential upgrades at the positions where players are leaving.

Big games will be holding serve at home vs Michigan and stealing one from Nebraska in Lincoln.

It will change all coverage packages and blitz schemes. Run and pass. It's going to be bigger then many think

Solid team. Back when I could still tolerate duke. Last night laetner said they tried that exact play against Wake a couple weeks earlier and when hill threw it, the ball drifted so far right it took him out of bounds so they practiced everyday in practice. Things like that aren't all luck.
