Agree. And with his athleticism, GRIII is going to play bigger than his size. Honestly, I have watched our two preseason games and it's almost like watching another team. Michigan hasn't been this big and athletic since the Fab 5. And they are way more disciplined and play better team D than the Fab 5. This is a very good team.

I think teaching proper technique is important. If that is emphasized I think we might start to see a decline in concussions. Also, there is a lot of emphasis on having lots of padding for helmets but in some ways couldn't you argue that encourages people to lead with their heads more? It almost seems like you could make an argument that a less padded helmet would make people less likely to lead with their helmet. Although I played hockey instead of football so I could be way off in my thinking.
Although hockey is a different sport than football, I was able to skip the squirt level completely and play peewee even though I was younger. I never suffered a concussion, and I think a large part of it had to do with learning how to check properly, and put myself in positions where I wouldn't get drilled either (keeping your head up is important as I found out early on
). However, this might not be applicable since in football it's a lot easier to get blindsided by a hit.

We will be a hell of a lot better this year. We didn't lose anyone worth a damn. Marshawn Powell, PF, was injured early last season and didn't play against y'all. We have zero scholarship seniors, a very young team.
This team is starting to look like a typical Nolan Richardson type of team: quick, energetic, and flies to the ball on defense. The "40 minutes of hell" is almost back.
We might make the tournament this year. Maybe. Hopefully.
Remember the name B.J. Young.

SEC basketball isn't really worth following lol
You have Kentucky... Florida, recently... and then you have a mash up of Miss State, Bama, and Arkansas.
Back in the mid to late 90's Kentucky and Arkansas went back and forth when Arkansas left the SWC and joined the SEC. We've had some pretty good players: Corliss Williamson, Joe Johnson, Ronnie Brewer, etc.
I hope our current coach, Mike Anderson (Nolan's number one assistant), can take us back to the glory days lol.
