Girls? I had no idea. NTTAWWT.

Look, I know you walked the campus in ann arbor, you need to know that on some college campuses girls exist. Many are beautiful. The do exist at Michigan too, it's just hard to see the difference there.

I honestly don't know why you got out of ADing. You got the easy answers to the complex issues.

Quit wasting your time with that drivers training baloney.

It's a salary thing now. Three women too. You know, since I've been out of the business and coaching too, I've never made a bad call and I know what a football team should do immediately after theyve just done it.

Wait! You're bringing down more cheese than Hollis or Brandon?

WTF? I wanna buy one of your franchises.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

  • Eighteen team B10. Three geographically sane divisions of six teams each. Nine conference games (5 in-division and 2 from each other division). No guaranteed cross division rivals. Top two teams (based on B10 record) play in BTCCG.

Big 10 "East" should add 2 more teams and just be the Big East Part II, trading ND to the "Central" for RU to keep things lined up geographically.

I hate hate hate conference realignment with a passion.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

You and I both know Miami isn't joining the B1G.

I think you have to put ND in the same division as ND, and it only makes sense to put Rutgers in PSU's division.

I'd switch UNC and UVA with Rutgers and Purdue.

It's too unbalanced with OSU, UM and ND in the same division. And you need to throw ND a bone to get them ... so throw them the East Coast. They will likely have to drop Stanford as an annual game, so they are giving up something too.

Meh, I used to be against it, but now I don't care as much. As long as the additions benefit the conference on the whole, and MSU still plays UM (hopefully ND as well), then I'm good.

I would also really like to play Wisconsin every year, but I doubt that's a high priority for Mr. Delany.

Miami has short-term issues, but like ND it's a very good undergraduate school academically and it sits in a state with a growing population of more than 20 million. Florida also is prime recruiting tertitory. And taking Miami will expand the B10 media footprint along the entire East Coast. TBH Miami is a better long-term pick (i.e. 50 years) than MD, UVA or GT.

Well, what I stated was true, you do have to put ND in the same division as ND.

What I meant was Purdue, they should be in ND's division, based on the assumption made that there wouldn't be cross-division protected rivals.

No. Neither are ND or Nebraska. Of the three, Nebraska is by far the weakest school academically. And if you can make exceptions for ND and Nebraska you can do it for Miami. New York, Florida, Texas and California are the largest states by population and have most of the top media markets. We aren't moving into Texas or Cali and we we took RU to help with NY (ND too). That only leaves Florida.

That's irrelevant. It's long been known that Notre Dame is the only school that would be accepted without AAU membership. Nebraska had it until some DB presidents voted them out on a technicality.

And it isn't too far away. Once the superconferences are formed, it's only a matter of time before they have a de facto playoff system, which would require membership in one of said conferences to be included.

Notre Dame isn't blind to this fact. They will join a conference, and it's a near certainty that when that happens, it will be the B1G.

The ACC will not be one of the 4 superconferences, unless the B12 disbands, which is extremely unlikely considering the deals they have signed.

Therefore, the conferences will be the PAC, B1G, SEC, and B12. The football teams in the ACC that want to be a part of that will soon start bailing.

ND still holds some cards. They will bid themself looking for the best deal possible.

No, that's wrong. That's never been the official position of the B10. Delany has always said AAU membership is very important. He has said similar things about wanting contiguous markets. But exceptions can be made if it makes sense.

ND is an exception that makes sense. So is Nebraska. All the B10 presidents knew UNL was on the verge of being kicked out of the AAU when they voted unanimously to admit them into the B10. UNL was falling further and further behind AAU membership criteria (research and PhD candidates) for years and had been warned repeatedly that they were headed for expulsion. Some B10 schools actually voted to expel them from the AAU. It was not a surprise. They were invited into the B10 with full knowledge of the situation. The B10 made an exception. And making an exception for Miami makes at least as much sense as making an exception for Nebraska.

I think you're forgetting the powerhouse known as the Big East. How can you leave Tulane and ECU out of the playoff picture?
