A week ago, USCe only put up 27 points against Clemson. Clemson doesn't have a very good defense (ranked 74th). The week before that game, USCe only put up 24 against Wofford (yes, Wofford). USCe has a very good defense, but an average offense. They lost a lot when Lattimore went down. IMO this will be a low scoring game, much like our bowl game last year. This is a winnable game by UM if we don't turn the ball over.

After reading that, I think UM keeps it within 3 TD's. A much closer game than most would expect.

Their starting QB Connor shaw was injured and didn't play against Clemson. Spurrier said hell start against Michigan

That's fine, but they haven't been a passing juggernaut against anyone with a good pass defense all year. They ran up their stats against teams with awful pass defenses like ECU, Tenn and Arky. IMO the loss of Lattimore was a much bigger deal. If we can stop their running game, we will be able to get our D off the field. That's the key to winning almost any game.

Seems about right. I'd probably have Wisconsin closer to +9.5, but it's not too far off. Nebraska could probably be +16.5....

  • I think the B1G goes 0-7. The only team’s that will get blown out though are Purdue, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin IMO.

MSU is going to have a hard time with Field’s and Maponga though. The rest of their D line isn’t too bad either.

Too bad Casey Pachall got himself suspended. That team could have ran the table with him.

Thought MSU was down to +2?

Kind of shocked to see Wisky's that low. MSU held them to 0.5 yards/carry and Stanford's rush D is even better than MSU's.

Purdue and Minny are going to get blown out of the water. Nebraska is definitely facing an uphill battle; UGA can run the ball fairly well and has the athletes to beat Abdullah/Martinez to the corner.

MSU, UM and Northwestern have the best chances at winning. Should be good games from a competitive standpoint.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Pretty hard to do with only 6 teams in bowl games biggrin

    There's 7.

Minnesota - Texas Tech (Car Care)
    Michigan St - TCU (BWW)
    Northwestern - Miss St (Gator)
Purdue - Oklahoma St (Heart of Dallas (?))
    Nebraska - Georgia (Capital One)
    Michigan - South Carolina (Outback)
    Wisconsin - Stanford (Rose)

We also have Rutgers - VT in the Russell Athletic Bowl

Isn't TCU using their third string QB? That can't hurt us.

Second string and he is decent. IIRC he got moved to third string when they had injuries at RB, and they needed him to switch positions. Definitely a much better runner then he is a passer, but overall he’s played pretty well this year. Reminds me a little bit of Braxton Miller.

As long as he doesn't remind you of Taylor Martinez... I'm cool with Braxton or Denard.

lol. His body type and his running style is similar to Braxton’s.

Well that sucks. Fortunately, we did ok against Denard, not so much Miller. I'm guessing they're probably a bit better overall or at least equal to Michigan. We could be in trouble. Oh well, lets try to score 17 and hope for the best.

You stick around this thread long enough, you will hear some things. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th... string doesn't matter. All that matters is if the players are on scholarship. All scholarship players are the same.

I don't believe that nonsense, but if you stick around long enough, you will hear someone preach it.

Yea, the Frog fans on our board said he had 1 week of practice at QB before his first start this year. They kind of resemble Northwestern's O.
