Too early to tell. I've seen the Bowl projections, but those things change every week. We still have some meaningful games to play so we'll see.

Only about five seasons were vacated due to the Ed Martin Scandal. In fact, only two games of the Fab Five's freshman season were vacated, so I'm not sure what you are trying to get at. We also had a team make the Elite 8 during the mid-90s that was not linked to the Ed Martin Scandal and had no games vacated at all. Everyone knows about the Ed Martin Scandal. If it weren't for the Ed Martin Scandal, MSU basketball would be stuck back in the middle of the pack in the B10 where it was for most of its history. Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. Just say "thank you" and be on your way.

I think kenpom's rankings are generally crap, especially this early in the season, but you brought them up, so you must think they're valid. And that doesn't even include MSU's win over Kansas....

Yeah, ive not seen this anger in a while. Jebus, MSU beat Kansas in November in basketball and there are some real angry people because of it. it seemedike it was a big game but face it we haven't hit hunting season yet. I don't get the anger over it, this game in the big picture doesn't mean much. Just a spotlight for four storied programs to jump start the season. Wake me in march.

Honestly, the unmitigated gall, isn't even shocking anymore. The add on of how MSU became program of the decade because of it goes beyond the pale. I wish you guys (some of you) had the ability to really step back and hear what you're actually saying. Perhaps being a Michigan man doesn't allow that.

Some are way worse then others. You know Bo only became good because Duffy started partying too much. Really that's the only reason.

That's what I was trying to figure out. I know the Ed Martin scandal wiped out some good teams, so I'm trying to find out what the best, most-recent non-vacated season was for UM. I'm not trying to be snarky here, I was just curious.

Thing is, if I claimed MSU was going to be great and they turned out to be turds, I've never had a problem looking at it and saying how bad we really are.

There are some on here who have the ability to lie to themselves and believe the tripe. I don't know if that angers me or makes me jealous.

So, you really have never heard me say that I think pre seaso rankings are crap? That I'd rather see things then look at stats?
