Just out of curiosity, why do you think Byrd is a better shooter? Stauskas is shooting over 65% from three right now, and it sounds like he can light it up just as much when there are shooting competitions. And I didn't realize that Stauskas wouldn't do well in MSU's system, so I guess it would make sense to not take him.

Haha. No. The only recruit that Izzo might not have seen the potential of was Trey Burke.
The only player UM got in 2012 that I would want more than one of MSU's recruits would be GRIII, who was not an under-the-radar guy at all.

A lot depends on how much he shoots. If he tries to force things then I agree with you. However, if he continues to take smart shots then I think he is a good enough shooter to keep it over 45%. He'll also get fewer open looks once conference play starts which will hurt his percentage.

Hahahaha. I haven't been drinking. I've simply made 1 statement that you guys went apeshit over.
I don't understand what the problem is, Byrd is a phenomenal shooter. He has struggled after having some significant injuries and an offensive system that is much less conducive to perimeter shooting that B_____'s hasn't helped. When we're talking actual shot, Byrd's is better, that's just how I see it.

#8. That's one of the purest shots I've ever seen.

This is included in what I'm talking about. At some point, some of UM's players will start cooling off, and I think this will naturally pull down Stauskas' shooting percentage. When the team relies on him to drop 3's all day, and he has a bad game or two, let's see how well he bounces back.

I don't think he'll be maintaining this pace.
Good game against NC State though.
