    Go fish.

Take your board's rampant speculation elsewhere, please.

    What about Jalyn Powell?

    xxmgobluexx

  • Sam Webb was very hush-hush about it this morning because the two visitors who are committed elsewhere are getting harrassed by fans and pressured by staff. Sam shouldn't have tweeted anything, IMO. Now the kids won't get to visit other schools, and I know how much that irritates Wags and others.

Let the kids enjoy themselves, dammit!

    It's not happening.

Neither of those players are very versatile. Reschke is a prototypical Mike.
    Powell is a prototypical safety.

You guys sure do want a lot of MSU's commits...

Uh huh. I bet they're getting so pressured they might not be able to visit anymore.

    Just like last year.

    And the year before.

    And the year before that.

    Good old Sam never disappoints!

  • What's genuinely hilarious is that you guys haven't mentioned Wisconsin commits. That's where I'd be looking, especially since it just came out that the DC is following Beilema.

He's no Sean Scherer when it comes to announcing a kids commitment BEFORE the kid does, but Sam'll try harder for you.

I'd rather read about Dawson committing to MSU on the 14th, but to each his own.

Oh? Sean announced a commitment before a recruit wanted him to? Please, do tell.

Wait, you're defending Scherer for something he IN FACT did, yet chastise Webb for talking about potential visits from current commits, which you have absolutely no way of knowing whether it's true or not?

    Sparty gonna Spart.

I'm asking about it. Chillax my friend. I hadn't known about this before, so I'm honestly asking about it.

Hard to tell if you're genuinely curious or doubting the validity. You'll have to give me a minute to get the kid's name. I'll have to do a little research while on my phone, unless one of the others knows the name off the top of their head.

  • It was James Ross. Ross told Scherer he was announcing his choice of Michigan to the public in May 2011. Ross was going to do it at school the following day yet Scherer announced it on Twitter and RCMB the night before.

    It was a pretty sleazy.

I want to say James Ross. I could be getting it mixed up with Royce Jenkins-Stone. I will look it up in a few.

I don't know if sarcastic or not, but if it were my kid, I'd be pissed.

However, working with many of these kids in a previous life oF mine I know many are without great guidance at home. They might indeed make a hasty decision, and are then penalized by this recruiting system.

The majority of recruiting junkies are, by far, raised in middle class suburban or rural homes and they just don't get this. They will say "kid shouldn't have committed then, travel first". I get that. It's proper and how you were raised.

I'm going to stop now because I know my life experience or reality means dick to message board cowboys. So, carry on.

Guy should be fired for that. Scum bag. I'd throw a law suit at him just to make him pay to defend himself

Not clear on a couple things:

Why would you be pissed if it were your kid?

I thought I knew what side of the fence you're on, but now I'm not sure. For argument sake, let's say Bullough wanted to visit. Are you saying he should be allowed to or that his parents should have a better job of guiding him by preventing his commitment to State?

Do you think bullough or resche are good choices first? Knowing their guidance at home and family members who went through the process and socio economic status.

The only thing I can suggest is you go to the Duffy and find the Ross thread, then check Scherer's twitter timeline, if it hasn't been deleted. Then, check Trieu's twitter feed from the same time line.
