    They gone.

MSU will score about 17 PPG next season.

    That's optimistic.

This is comical. We played two more top 10 teams than MSU and played ND and Ohio away from home while you played them in SS.

If I were them I'd be more upset about having a better record on the road than at home

Not impressed with this Illini team. They beat a bad Auburn team by 2 on Saturday.

It's called being quarterbacked by Steven Threet and Nick Sheridan.

I'm optimistic by nature. Figure they make a few more FGs. Plus MSU plays IL instead of tOSU, so that's at least a 24 point offensive output in the bank.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

I can definitely imagine it being worse.

    1. If the OL doesn't improve, and no RB is able to be their own blocker like Le'Veon, the running game would be worse.

    2. Worried he'll lose his spot otherwise, Maxwell could start forcing throws and his terrible completion percentage could be complemented by a nice dose of INT's.

    3. As inconsistent as Conroy was this season, we'll either be starting the guy who Conroy beat out for the position (Muma) or a freshman.

    4. If the WR's don't improve their ability to create separation and stretch the field, losing Sims will be worse than detrimental; it'd be catastrophic.

    5. Even though it wasn't all his fault at all, Roushar is below-average OC (at best) at this point, until proven otherwise.

Just imagine it this year, without LeVeon Bell and Sim.

Your OL "should" improve next year. Same with WRs.

We're going to need a lot of defenses scores next year. 6, 7 wins max. We'll need help. No chance for a division championship. Zero.

    I don't think the D had 1 score this year. 4 pick-6s in '11.

MSU could realistically go 5-7 if they lose to USF or IU.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

What? If you don't have a better home record than road record you aren't going to be in contention for any sort of championship...

I don't see the offense getting that much better to win any more then 6 or 7. It's going to be tough. I don't mean the defense has to score, but we're going to have to get conservative, shrink the field and hope our defense gets the offense the ball in good field position. Man our recievers have to step up and some back has to step up. We're in trouble.

  • I'm not too thrilled that Hardaway won't be playing tonight. Fortunately Northwestern won't be much of a hostile environment in comparison to most B1G schools.

It's a good thing MSU has Sadler. I'd hate to have a bad punter.

KR/PR sucked this year; that can turn around with just 1 player. Special teams were a "minus" this year, between poor returns, poor return coverage and Conroy's inconsistency. If that can get flipped around, I'll feel a better.

Problem with the O is that pretty much everyone's coming back and very few players "flashed" big play ability. Burbridge was about it. Maybe Mumphery (I do like him in the slot). Lippett and Fowler can't get separation. Arnett can, but can't block and ran shoddy routes.

I remember PSU in 2004. Awesome defense, horrific O. Went 4-7 or something like that. Next year, added Derrick Williams and 2 more FR WRs, went to a spread with Michael Robinson and won 11 games. Unfortunately, there's no calvary on the horizon. The guys who are going to help MSU are already in the program, and they haven't shown a whole heck of a lot. I guess someone could step it up, but MSU needs at least 2 viable WRs, a solid TE and most importantly, a competent QB. Oh, and the OL to stay healthy past the 4th game of the year. Yea, that would be nice.

    Caesar at TE

    KIngs PR/KR

    Cook or Connor at QB

who was the RB from Georgia that RS? Thompson??? That guy at RB

Arnette, Burbridge and Mumphrey for our pass attack.

    9 win team.
