  • Watching this UA game is bizarre. The defense has a huge advantage.

And by progress you mean of course, giving up 420 yards of offense and 30 points to a top 10 opponent while losing

Really though- while UM looked decent- it's hard to take that game as stepping stone for next year as Denard was the RB the entire game.. Gardner had his moments, but still only completed 50% of his passes with a 5.9 yards per attempt.

Full offseason being integrated into Borges' offense should do wonders for them. He could very well throw for over 3000 yards next year with close to a 3:1 TD to INT ratio with just a little polish.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Hitting open receivers would be a nice start.

You are pathetic. Green the # 1 Rb in the whole nation will make a huge impact as will Deveon Smith. We gave up little rushing yards to them and the passing yards we gave up were a result of our 2nd string playing against a top 10 team like South Carolina.

That's why he's in the early Heisman discussion for 2013

    When did Green commit?

    When did Green commit?

He has us as the clear cut # 1 with just 3-4 weeks until signing day and he wants to commit early this month. I'm still waiting for your reason as to why the # 1 RB in the nation won't improve our rushing game.

4 new OL and the fact UM hasn't had much success with highly touted RBs in a decade? shrug

I'd still rather have a 5 star RB coming in than a low 3 star. I don't care about the past decade. lol

  • How has jesus sliced bread looked in the UA game? I know the big excuse for him during the season was his team sucked. He has an all star team, He should be tearing it up no?

He sucked on the first drive, looked good on the second (but also got lit up). So when you average that out I would say he has looked average.

You are talking about Morris right? It's hard to keep track of all the Michigan commits in these all star games.

Morris? sounds right. The QB is who rated very high despite not being very good in actual games. That's Morris right?

    yes.

His 7-7 flag skills are sick though

He looked like he settled in on the last drive. Had a couple of completions to LT good timing. Also a really nice deep ball to LT but Hargreaves broke it up he is a beast. Then Morris got rocked, but he jumped right back up.

He's no Andrew Maxwell. Hopefully Hoke can do half the job Dantonio does coaching him up.

Maxwell is last years bad news. Cook will step in and our offense will go right back to 2011, no probelms.

Morris is going to be a very good college qb. I've seen plenty of high school qb's in my life, the kids skills are as good as Maxwells out of high school. (remember, Maxwell did well at the elite 11 and his tools were awesome IMO) Morris' skills are as good as any I have seen in years.

It all comes down to leadership and balls. The "it" factor. IMO Morris has it and Maxwell doesn't. He's verbal, he calls recruits, he loves his college. Maxwell is a great kid, but is quiet, withdrawn and thoughtful. I'm sure he's going to make millions fo dollars someday in some great field, but I don't think it will be football. Morris has a shot. Lets see when the lights go on, I've been wrong a billion times before, but I think that kid will be pretty damn good. I look forward to one of the bullough brothers just blind side lighting him up someday.

One of the Bullough brothers? At least two of them. If Gardner gets injured next year, it could end up being all 3....

Like I said, UM is poised to have a pair of 1000 yard rushers in '14, if not 1200 yard rushers. No denying their talent.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

I don't know, it seems like at least one 5* running back doesn't contribute his freshman year. I don't think it will be Green, but I don't think it won't be him either.

And this is all assuming that UM gets Green, which I'm going to guess other UM fans wouldn't believe to be 99% certain like you do.
