  • I don't think we'll get an accurate depiction of where Gholston is heading for awhile. He's the kind of player that could see his stock rise dramatically at the combine just because of his physical potential. I think any player that projects to to the second round or higher should go without question. Generally, I would encourage kids to go to the NFL simply because you never know what can happen in this game. You can always go back and finish that degree if your football career doesn't pan out. It's not a popular opinion but I think it's usually the smart decision based on risk versus reward.

Ok, Sparty. No more wasting money on fancy scoreboards with too much advertising. It's time to pony up some coin to get back into D-1 lax.

Men's Lax: UMD, RU, PSU, OSU, UM ... one short for a B10 lax league Women's Lax: UMD, RU, NW, PSU, OSU, UM ... enough for a B10 lax league

They probably will seeing as how they like to copy whatever we do.

There’s a big difference between being a late 2nd round pick and an early 1st rounder money wise though. If Gholston comes out now, he’ll probably go late second at best, and that’s considering his upside and workout numbers. He should definitely go back to school if he can. Bell should definitely leave though. His stock can only going to go down from here (i.e. Monte Ball).

I agree, if you can get into the NFL and that's where you want to be then go.

bright side of this board we get to mingle with other fan bases, but that is it. The old rcmb was the best board in college sports.

Refs sucked this game, and having Harris the freshman of the year for the B14 out hurt. We still won and I think there's a lot of potential on this squad.

I really like Costello, he's going to be one of the toughest dudes the B14 has ever seen on the court before his career is done. He kind of reminds me of Bill Laimbeer or Rick Mahorn with his tough/physical play.

Agreed about Costello, i think he will take over Gauna's spot as the backup 4/5/occasional starter

What happened to Harris and what happened in the game? BSU bomb a bunch of 3's to keep it close? Seems closer than it should have been, though at the end of the season, a win is a win.

We screwed. My expectations have gone down the toilet. Hopefully we just keep the tourney streak alive.

Just hope he's back for B1G play and Trice can be back soon to pick up his slack until then.

It was only close because Harris was out. You lose a player like that it is going to affect the outcome.

You guys have gotten screwed with injuries the past couple years. Won't make any less sweet beating you guys on the court again this year though.

Do we even play a Canadian team? Does wherever it is you went to school even have a basketball team?

That was spot on analysis. My track record speaks for itself.

    Here's a few shining examples:

    - I said Tom Caughlin was a great coach and others on this thread said he sucked. I was outraged that NY'ers were calling for his head. What happens next? He goes on to win the super bowl.

    - I stood up for Leyland in July. What happens at the end of the season? He leads his team to the world series.
