How much did MSU beat the basketball power house Boise State by?

I think that's in response to a couple posters saying how MSU struggled against Boise.

Meh, march is a long way from now. I guess we have a secret weapon freshman supposed to make us great. No pressur on the kid at all.

The serious answer: Michigan didn't play great defense in the first half and gave up a lot of open looks. They also had an off night from the 3 point line. I also don't think Burke played a smart game that played to his strengths (especially the whole "let's jack up an NBA three" mentality).

The sarcastic answer: Michigan is wayyyy overrated and probably won't even make the tournament.

We didn't really play bad defense in the 1st half. We played about 30 seconds of defense and then they would pull something out of their ass.

In comparison to the second half it was pretty weak imo. Michigan only allowed 3 field goals in the first 13 minutes of the second half.

It was more the fact that they hit a bunch of contested shots in the first half and cooled down in the second half. We had a few bad possesions defensively, but Dakich even said we were playing great defense.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all. Peace.

+1 hard to hate on a day like today. No religion, no bs pressure to buy a gift, just good food, drink and sports.

Well beating you guys the past couple years hasn't been all that impressive. shrug

You guys' keep mentioning those three wins, seems like you are pretty stoked about it.

  • Lions f'n stink. It's the same old tired script. Down by a touch down in the 4th you just knew they were going to find a way to lose. I feel like it would put a damper on my thanksgiving to watch them actually win a game, I've gotten used to it as a new form of comedy that rivals classic Three Stooges episodes.

Are you at all familiar with "4 in a row"?

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

If we had one iota of character or guts on our team we'd be saying 5. Alas, a potential 9-2 team is 5-6 and very hard to watch.

Steve, I was just wondering about your "theory of sunbelt domination" in football, and I was curious as to why you think that this doesn't hold true in basketball. I am of the opinion that your theory is a bunch of bs and is due to oversigning. But if it isn't and it really is due to population shifts, why wouldn't the changes correlate with basketball as well?

Btter coaching down there IMO. Not for the faint of heart. Urban got chased out by saban and now Urban is one of our best. Not too hard to do that math.

If the RCMB paranoia is true, Nebraska gets screwed over by officials today, lose and OSU/Michigan becomes more watchable by the Midwest. Not just OSU/UM fans.

    lol

Delaney planting officials that will see things his way.

Better coaching is certainly a part of it, but I am of the opinion that it is also supplemented by the rise of oversigning. Some SEC schools have taken 5 classes to every 4 that the B1G takes, that leaves a lot of room for error.

If Nebraska gets screwed by the refs today, that only would make up for one of the two games the refs have giftwrapped for them in the past month. There is no conspiracy. The B10 just has crappy refs.

    Go Hawks!

You and I being suspicious IT MIGHT happen cracks me up. Honestly, if it does, I'm going to the RCMB and starting conspiracy threads just for the entertainment value.

I'm hopping down to watch rice vs Muskegon. Still love hs football.

    Yeh sure.

And if it wasn't windy in EL last year Michigan would have won. (you spartans love that one so i used it as an example)

Michigan beat MSU end of story, no excuses. Michigan was better on that day, and have been better all season.

The difference is you think Nebraska might get screwed pusuant to some well thought out and brilliantly executed devious Delany-led plan. I think they might get screwed because crappy reffing is a random walk and eventually it's going to walk all over Nebraska.

lol. Sarcasm doesn't read well. Please don't put me in the tinfoil hat club. I think there are bad officials. That's it. When it happens I'll stir the pot.
