  • Strong offense and no defense? Looks like we have a Rich Rod coaching in Columbus.

Lol at us scoring 31. MSU 17 Min 3

Minny's O is bad. This could very well be the first game of the year where MSU's D actually scores (and doesn't have the called back by the refs).

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • Borges taking queue's from Roushar?

Can't almost help but lulz at the dogshit playcalling on huge plays.

  • Wow. That is one of the worst halfs of offensive playcalling I have ever seen.

Done, then we fire Borges and get a good OC, and you're stuck with Roushar. Fair?

Deal, but you can only hire Ferentz as your OC.

  • The O play calling was mind boggling. Denard in on runs, Gardner in on passes. Absolutely no element of surprise. If I'm at home knowing what the play is going to be, then I'm sure every OSU player on the field had to know as well. Unbelievable.

Gardner had a few chances, had to agree with Spielman on the one play tuck the ball and run. Instead he lobbed up a pass deep down field that was incomplete.

  • Also, going for it on 4th and 3 was very stupid.

You watch that game ND vs. Mich Kelly went for the punt on those types of plays and let his D win it. Michigan had great D today, you punt and get the stop.

That game was very even in terms of talent on the field. Borges' had the big boys coaching circles around him.

  • Jesus I'm the biggest idiot on the block, but you make Denard disappear in the second half? OSU didn't Borges did.

Well Denard running out of the shotgun wasn't going to work. Should have had a package with Denard at RB and Devin QB and we didn't. Fail by the staff.

I'm going to miss Bell next year

Man, our preseason predictions were a riot. Maxwell wouldn't be much of a drop-off, the Toussaint/Bell debate, etc.

My score predictions weren't half bad today at least.

    Sooooo, 8-4 UM vs. UF/LSU/A&M?

    MSU vs. . . . OK Lite?

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Maxwell is just bad. It was the OL/WR in the early going, but he's regressed. Do not like.

I predicted 10-2 for UM which wasn't too far off and we sure had some tough breaks or else my prediction would be spot on.

  • Did anyone watch Bill O'Brien's on field post game interview? I'm pretty sure he used a naughty word.

Sounds like he got choked up saying "fighters" but yeah that was funny. lol

Yeah, I rewound it several times wondering if I heard it wrong and thinking maybe he said "fighters". But that's not what he said. Oops.

Why not, they won't have to actually play them. I'll say we have a chance too. It's easy lying to each other.

I think he particularly struggles in bad weather. What were his worst games? Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota? Those were also the coldest games IIRC. In those games, the dropsies popped back up it seemed. What I noticed today was that Maxwell threw several particularly wobbly balls. He also overthrew way too much. I hope the weather doesn't mess with him too much, because it's a reality of B1G football.

Today, I was disappointed with Maxwell and the inconsistencies of the OL. Wow, wouldn't it be nice if we'd had a solid OL and in-sync QB/WRs.

Side note: it was great to see Sims Jr. get a good return.

Alabama was the only team Michigan played that totally outmatched Michigan. All the other teams are non-sunbelt teams and Michigan played them close.

This was not a good team overall. Good defense, but the other parts weren't there. However, as bad as this team was there wasn't one team on our schedule that you'd say "wow, we couldn't beat them". The two best teams in our league OSU and Nebraska we played snap for snap. The third best, Penn State, we didn't play but there is nothing that tells me we couldn't hang with them.

That said, remember what league we're in. Remember what an average PAC 12 team did to one of our best, what Bama did to Michigan and that we lost to three Mac teams. Being average to good in our league means you have zero shot against the truly elite. We all need to get better. Much better and with the exception of OSU i don't see many other teams taking that big jump.

Would be interested to see it with our current O vs the 1 they saw. Could we win, yup, so could you guys. I'd like our chances better though
