The B1G is not getting UNC. They’re not going anywhere w/o NC State and Dook. Idc what some of their fans say. The B1G is probably not getting UVA either because they are a packaged deal with UNC, and you can’t get UNC w/o taking the other two NC schools.
IMO I think the B1G will end up with KU and another school. I hope its VT. Their fans are saying that their higher ups are having talks with both the SEC and B1G right now. Those would be solid addition’s IMO.

We're not taking Kansas. It has none of the attributes Delany has repeatedly laid out. It is not an AAU member. It is in a small state (2.9 million). It brings nothing in terms of football. And it would be the lowest ranked school in the B10 academically, even behind Nebraska. The only criteria it meets at all is it is in a contiguous state and brings a national brand in basketball, but that's nowhere close to enough. We would be much better off taking Syracuse. It is better academically, has a better football brand, has a very good basketball brand and is in a state with 19.5 million residents.
And we are not taking VT. Like Kansas, it is not an AAU member and is not very good academically (it would rank third from last in the B10, ahead of only Nebraska and Indiana). If we take a school in Virginia, it will be UVA. UVA could be paired with UNC, Syracuse or GT. Alternatively, I think the B10 would take both UNC and Duke even though they are located in the same state. They are AAU members. They are very strong academically. They have great national brands, albeit in basketball. And they are in a large, growing state (9.7 million). In fact, it seems pretty clear UNC is the prime target and we would take them in a pair with any of the schools I just listed. FWIW they also would pair nicely with UT or ND if either of those caved at the last minute and wanted to be #16.
