I live in NYC, and I'm sick and tired of every one hyping and pumping up the Yankees. Go Tigers!

Ha, I live in Chicago and there were several Yankee fans at the bar. It was awesome to watch their team go down in the 9th.

I hate the Yankees almost as much as UM. Coincidentally, a lot of douchey East Coasters go to Michigan. They rip on our state only to leave after 4 years. F them.

Not to get into politics, but the economy took quite a hit in '08-'09. I'm also from Michigan and love the state. You have to go where there is work and then I went back to school. To be honest, I could be back in Michigan 5 years from now, still here, or somewhere else in this country. Just depends on where my career takes me.

  • I'm going to be bold but I'm feeling that against UofM our OL will step it up and make it to a 7. From what I've seen of UofM their D doesn't scare me as much as Ohio State's D. Against Ohio State I'd give the OL about a 5. I think we open up some solid running lanes against them and put up some rushing yards.

Have you heard any word on Fowler and Hoover yet? Last I checked both were still day to day.

Edit: This was a response to SpartanRocky.

Completely understandable. From 1995 to 2007 my work would take me to Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky for several months at a time. Changed jobs in 2007 to take a job that keeps me home. Big pay cut, but family > money.

Against everybody else I'd give the DL about a 6. I think we shut down the running lanes against them and hold them to a few rushing yards.

Our O scares you less than anyone else left on your schedule?

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Hoover and Fowler are both day to day still. I don't we'll hear much on either till next week. If we don't see Fowler against UM, I'd expect Lippett and Mumphrey's roles to increase.

How do you feel about Lippett and Muphrey as receivers?

Also, what's your take on all the heat that Cousins has been getting and what do you expect to see from him against UofM?

There you go, coming off a good game last night where everyone is getting along and you're the first to spew out some hate. no

Can we have just one where we talk about football?

Freshman receiver, pretty good prospect. Going off memory here but I think Maxwell our backup had a few good throws to him against CMU.

confused How was that spewing hate? I was just saying that I think xxmgobluexx was being sarcastic and that he doesn't actually think your offense scares us less than anyone else's.. I'd say that's supporting you, but ok.

Thanks. I hadn't heard of him before. How confident are you guys in your receivers? What would you say is the strength and weakness of your O?

Cunningham is amazing. I was just going to ask you guys what you thought of Cunningham. With my green shades on and off, I see an incredible receiver.

Nichol is okay, he's great at blocking though.

Sims has shown tremendous upside potential, but him and Cousins just aren't connecting. I don't if he's running precise routes or if Cousins is missing him. I expect a lot of good things from Sims in the future though. Our other tight ends haven't impressed me at all as receivers.

If Fowler returns I see him as a tremendous asset that can have some good production. The word is he has a foot injury and it's day to day. A lot of speculation that he should be back for the game, but no one knows. This is where I see a huge upside for having a bye week.

Also, I don't think anyone knows much about him to be honest. Rocky will have to weigh in more about it...I think he's just shown some flashes of potential.

To be honest, I think that Cunningham is a solid receiver but he looks to be your only proven weapon outside of your RBs. There is talent there, it just seems unproven.

Forgot to add Keshawn Martin to the list. Guy has amazing speed, has some moves but isn't a true second option as receiver.

Cunningham's hands have thoroughly impressed me, he's also picked up some good yards after the catch by breaking tackles.

  • Just put Blake Countess on Cunningham. Problem solved.

Cunningham looked good in the limited amount I have seen him. Who else is Cousins going to throw to though? Martin on bubble screens? Nichols with his less than 2 catches a game? Sims with his 2 catches a game? Lippett less than a catch a game? Outside of Sims in the RZ, there isn't another threat on the field for MSU to take the pressure off of Cunningham. I remember reading somewhere that Cousins is getting in the habit of zeroing in on BJ no matter what.
