You are still missing the point. It's what the penalty means. It is basically blaming the entire PSU family for this. I would be pissed if i was to be blamed for something like this and i had nothing to do with it.

Penalties from the NCAA always hurt the "innocent" parties, in that the program gets punished. However, what's the alternative?

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Really? Who am I attacking? Just because I have no mercy on the program that enabled a monster to rape children doesn't mean I am attacking those that are pissed that PSU won't be able to play in bowl games for 4 years. They still get to watch PSU play 12 games a year, those children still have nightmares of being sodomized by a monster.

You are attacking the entire PSU fanbase. You are saying the entire fanbase enabled child rape without even knowing it was going on because their leaders failed them. The only people responsible for this are Sandusky and the individuals who covered it up. If you think anyone else deserves punishment then you are wrong in everyway. The only people the victims should have anger toward are Sandusky and the PSU leadership that failed them. The hundreds of thousands of PSU fans did not fail the victims and they should not be blamed for this in anyway.

Now i am done with you. You are going on ignore forever because i simply don't like you as a human being.

The difference Rocky is in this case you are basically blaming hundreds of thousands of people with Child Rape. There is legal action that can actually punish those who actually did something wrong.

The NCAA is basically saying that hundreds of thousands of PSU fans who had no idea this was going on is in some way responsible and deserving to be punished for child rape. That is one helluve a thing to place on someone who had nothing to do with it.

  • Clearly someone doesn't understand how NCAA sanctions work. Ask Terrell Pryor or Reggie Bush how much they were affected by OSU/USC's sanctions.

PSU deserves these 100% and while it sucks that their fanbase has to pay for it, it is what it is. The entire upper administration of that university could have prevented this from happening, but they didn't.

I never blamed the entire fanbase, Sandusky was the one sodomizing children, Jopa and company were the ones who had the power to stop it, and they were to much of a coward to do so.

You were being hypocritical in your OP by lumping everyone together for hating on all psu fans. I'd say hardly anyone is hating on all of them in general, just the very vocal minority blinded by their love for joepa. Sure there is also a minority that blames all of them but you're gonna have that chit unfortunately.

All programs have these issues, but punish them differently. At MSU, he would be back on the practice field after one practice.

One practice is long enough to sober up after the incident, I don't see the problem. shrug

Like Hoke dealt with Stonum after his 2nd DUI?

Keeping him on the team, allowing him to travel to the Sugar Bowl and giving him a redshirt?

  • It sucks that Toussaint got arrested. If you suspend him you pretty much eliminate the slim chance Michigan had of beating Alabama, but if you let him play you send the message that some players can get away with things that should be punished. I personally think he needs to be suspended for two or three games.

F-ing Moran. Must suspend 1 or 2 games IMO. I will be pissed if we get the whole "lets let the courts decide then we will move forward" thing. There goes any chance at banana, we needed him to be even mildly productive to even have a chance imo

That might have had more to do with the fact that the first incident didn't happen while Hoke was coach.

The NCAA is basically saying that hundreds of thousands of PSU fans who had no idea this was going on is in some way responsible and deserving to be punished for child rape. That is one helluve a thing to place on someone who had nothing to do with it.

See, this is the disconnect, the "you are basically blaming hundreds of thousands of people . . . "

    A few things.

    1) Sanctions are punitive measures meant on making sure that the violation doesn't happen again. It's negative reinforcement. The people responsible for the violations are almost always gone from the program by the time the sanctions come down. To not sanction the program essentially allows a team to cheat, and then when they get caught and finally go through the whole process, they're able to say that "the guilty parties aren't here, don't hurt us", and basically reap the benefit of the cheating years with 0 repercussions.

    2) No one is hating on the entire PSU fanbase. The ONLY thing people have issues with are the PSU fans calling this worse than what Sandusky did.

    3) If you take a step back and look at this, those hundreds of thousands of people are somewhat to blame. You see, it's the power of a fanbase that made JoePa and Sandusky so powerful. When you have all that support and reverence towards a few individuals, it allows them to wield tremendous power. That power, in turn, was used to mask an absolutely horrific series of events. In that respect, the entire culture of PSU football needed to be changed, as it enabled Sandusky to commit the crimes he did, and allowed JoePa to cover for him.
