    1. Pretty sure a lot of Michigan fans here have said that MSU has a very good defense and that we're pretty scared, especially with the homefield advantage. And, for OTPT, because you guys are wearing cool uniforms.

    2. None of us have been saying that he's amazing. There have been a couple threads started on tBB about Hoke being a good coach (just ask steveschneider) that were not started by UM fans. We've all said he hasn't proven himself yet but that he's done a great job so far. Do you disagree with that?

    3. He's a huge improvement over our last DC. Again, that's not just us saying that. Other threads started on tBB by non-Michigan posters saying that Mattison is one of the best coordinators in college football. Not us. In our minds, he still has to prove our defense is real against better offenses.

    4. He hasn't been as great this year. None of us are "hyping and pumping" him that much. That September Heisman stuff that you guys love comes from media and MSU fans, not us. I have never met a UM fan who has said he deserves the Heisman. He has to get a lot better, but he sure is exciting and fun to watch. And he's a hell of a kid, incredibly humble and nice.

    5. Looking at the statistics and just watching games, our defense is much better. Even Rocky would agree.

    6. Not sure what this has to do with anything. Are you making fun of us because we have the winningest record? Makes no sense. It doesn't matter for this game, but yes. We have it. You caught me.

    "Good"? I honestly don't think so, at least not yet. That rushing D is a pretty damning stat for you guys though the weakest part of your schedule. I know Klima will call MSU's D unproven, but we're top 3 in every major stat. You have a top 10 scoring D and everything else is in the 30s or worse. I don't think MSU is #1 overall good, but I think we'll at least be a top 25 D by the end of the year, if not top 15. If the same "drop" happens to UM, you'll have most of your stats in the high 40s to mid-50s nationally, and I do predict your scoring D to follow. That's an improvement over being in the 90s and 100s, but it's still not a good D.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    But Rocky, its because Mattison built such are great Defense before he was forced out, err, before he figured out the D Corrdinator job at UoM was far better than the NFL.

    I'm sure you've never heard of UM fans disrespecting MSU. I'm sure you haven't heard any fans or media touting Brady Hoke and Mattison. I'm sure you haven't heard the DRob hype (again). I'm sure you haven't heard about the improved defense. I'm sure you haven't seen the all-time blah.

    I'm sure none of this has been mentioned with reference to this week's game.

    I can see how a Michigan State fan would be crazy to mention any of it.

    The choice last year for the Ravens was either to keep Mattison and lose their secondary coach, or lose Mattison and keep their secondary coach. Mattison had flirted with returning to the college game, so the Ravens strongly suggested that he investigate the possibility.

    You walmarters crack me up. For the fourth year in a row scUM will meet MSU with an undefeated record and the September Heisman; For the fourth year in a row scUMers are giving no respect to MSU's football team; and For the fourth year in a row Coach D and Captain Kirk will begin the annual meltdown of scUM's football season.

    Hoke is the greatest coach ever (even though he was the fourth or fifth choice and few if any scUMers wanted him).

    Mattison is a defensive genius (sure, just like Rich Rod was an offensive genius).

    No one can stop shoeless (during the month of September).

    scUM's defense is improved and the top D in the B1G (just like the last three years, right?)

    All time winningest program / all time best program (who cares if it includes stats from decades before most schools had a real program on the field).

    Ahhh, cannot wait until Saturday. I just hope no one on your team is injured or sick for or during the game and that shoeless brings it strong, yet even then I'm sure the walmaters will find excusses as to how they beat themselves, again.

    Only if you disregard the importance losing three starters on the OL, while also dealing with rash of serious injuries at the position.

    80% line. 20% Treadwell

    Not sure why that's more important than Mattison's ability to turn Ray Lewis into a superstar. Both are in the past and neither have a direct impact on Saturday's game.
