You ever seen a Pulaski Academy football game? Its getting alot of press from this SDSU coach. I knew a girl who went there last year and she said its almost unstoppable

Charlie Strong is definitely a great DC, and he deserves his share of credit. But Florida's rankings for total defense under Strong before Mattison came were 25, 51, and 42. When Mattison arrived, it rose to 18, and then 6 the year they won the first NC. Of course, it persisted after Mattison left, but I wouldn't discount Mattison's contribution to Florida's defensive resurgence under Meyer; there was a reason why Meyer made him one of his first hires. And Mattison was never going to get any strong HC looks because of his age at that point.

You really don't want my opinion of Pulaski Academy. I come from a 4A public school in northeast Arkansas. PA is a little snotty, stuck up, private school in Little Rock. They never punt the ball. Never. Never ever. Ever.

I never thought he was that good. Way too predictable and passive. Too much prevent and "bend but don't break". Mattison is a blitzer. It almost cost us at the end of the OSU game, but once the system is fully installed and we have all the right personnel and depth, I think if will be very fun to watch. I expect it to be similar to LSU's.

oh i know about them. They seem like they would be so much fun to watch if you dont have a rooting interest. I'm surprised someone is bringing that to college football though.

It persisted for one season after Mattison left UF. Similar to what happened at UM after '97.

It'll be very hard to find one single Michigan fan that says they thought Herman was the cats ass, but lo and behold someone was gushing over him.

Vandy has a hell of a recruiting class. Do they have higher standards than the rest of the NCAA like Northwestern and Stanford do? If they do, that's even more impressive.
