Seems logical. Internet fans determine success, not coaches or players. It's fans on the internet.

Harry, let it go. You have two huge trolls you're dealing with. I've blocked them and this thread is much better. Why quote them? Funny thing is, neither are students or alums. Just block and move on.

roflmao I can only assume based on this thread that I'm one of the trolls you are referring to. I've been here a while, I'm most certainly not a troll, at least I don't blame everything on the refs.

Putting someone on ignore can help this thread at times. But at other times, you have those same guys that go on rants that are too good to pass up. Just take their post with a grain of salt. There are several on here that I do that with.

Or 28, not sure how he came up with 15. That's not even close to correct.

Just have to get to where you can overcome calls that don't go your way. Tough loss. You can see the improvement. But MSU needs to learn from it and grow. The best part about college athletics is learning from adversity. These kids seem to be getting better let's see what happens with them. The conference is still horrible. We aren't that far away

Offense def looks like its improving, encouraging for next year.

I'm rooting like hell for Indiana next week, lets make this conference even more of a joke lol

The defense just gives up plays when they can't give up plays. Disappointed in thre man pressure to start the last drive and putting a third string corner on an island to end it. I know narduzzi and Dantonio are thinking a sack with 11 seconds left probably ends the game, but damn.

  • Sparty got phucked last night and not in the good way. That late PI call was garbage (B10 PI calls have been garbage all year). And that MSU pick 6 that was called back was unvelievable. How can any official make that call?

4th and 10 less then a minute and we give up a 38 yard play. We screwed ourselves. The worst part of that is we could be sitting here today and saying we overcame bad calls, now we're the typical loser fan base blaming the refs. Get to the point where bad calls don't matter. We were yesterday and then blew it.

This team is miles away. We need to be better in every aspect. Now people are saying call the big ten office. That's embarrassing as hell.

I'm not jumping on the conspiracy theory bandwagon ... Delany is not out to get you ... but those were bad calls in a close game. The B10 needs to spend some time in the offseason working on PI calls and all these "targeting a defenseless player" calls. They have been very inconsistent all season and are affecting the outcomes of important games. There was a PI call against UNL much earlier in the game that was similarly awful IMO. That's all I'm saying.

    Spot on Dwags.

I realize it sounds differently when a Michigan fan says it compared to when a MSU fan says it, but don't put yourself in a position where the refs can decide the outcome. Allowing Nebraska to run for over 300 yds, having Nebraska WRs running free... Hell, some MSU fans were harping on Minnesota not blitzing when had a 3rd and forever, MSU should have done the same thing when they were in a similar position.

As you said, MSU just isn't good enough right now. If this team takes the steps it should in the offseason, they will be challenging for the division and league title next year.

The conspiracy theory stuff is garbage that fans like Harry throw out there. There are bad calls, and the bad calls are going both ways over the course of the season.

Hopefully adjustments are made, but not to the point where defenders are mugging receivers.

  • What's the word on Denard?
I'd like to see how Gardner performs against a decent team, if he is in fact replacing Bellomy next year.

  • I don't know man, the PI was just bad. I get Wags point, but that's just a BS call

The personal foul on Adams sucked too but son a bitch man, State had TWO of those stupid penalties well behind the play. That's just ignorant on the players AND coaches. You wanna preach 60minutes of necessary roughness, you live with the consequences.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

Im kinda glad J5 is gone after this year. Kinda like Edwin Baker last year, great talent but makes stupid mistakes

IMO you guys could have really used Baker this year. Bell has taken far too many touches this year, and having Baker as a change of pace while keeping Bell fresh would have been a huge benefit to to you guys.

Baker needs holes to run through. This week and weeks 1 and 2 were the only games there were actually holes for the running game. Amazing what can happen when the OLine stays healthy. first time since week 3 that all starters practiced together all week.

I am not holding out hope for Denard, until I see him play.

What is a decent team for him to be compared to, that is left on the schedule? Minnesota has one of the top passing efficiency defenses in the B1G right now.

I felt that Michigan was going to be a 7-8 win team next year with Bellomy or Morris at QB, I feel better with Gardner at QB, even if it slighty hurts the WRs.

I would like to see them try to rest Denard one more week. I want him 100% for the game in Columbus. I also think another week of practice and live game action for Gardner at QB will make sure he is ready to go in Columbus, if needed. And it will force Urbie to prepare for both Denard and Devin. Denard clearly is the more dangerous runner, but Devin is the better passer.

Bowl projections were being brought up on RCMB and the B1G would get BOMBED in these scenarios. 0 wins and all blowout losses are likely

Rose: Wisconsin vs BCS At-Large (Oregon to the NCG, so Oklahoma? Notre Dame?)
Capital One: Michigan vs SEC (Florida)
Outback: Nebraska vs SEC (SEC East winner, Georgia?)
Gator: Michigan State vs SEC (South Carolina)
BWW Bowl: Northwestern vs B12 (Texas
Meineke: Minnesota vs B12 (TCU or OKState)

Gator doesn't want Northwestern, so MSU will most likely get bumped up because of that, assuming we win out. Ticket City and Pizza Bowl will be left unfilled, and if Minnesota loses to Illinois, Meineke will be left unfilled too
